I spent a month at the ECO Hostel in Granada, it was my first volunteering experience here on worldpackers and I honestly think it could not have gone better. I felt welcome and at home right from the beginning, the staff and the other volunteers were all wonderful people and I enjoyed being around them. The work that needed to be done was really simple, the food was delicious, socializing and talking with guests was really fun, I got to meet somebody new nearly every day. In summary, I loved this experience and I hope that I will see you again someday! Ondřej, Czech republic

This was my first volunteering experience and couldn't have been better! The group of volunteers and the staff at the reception were amazing, the job was easy to learn and fun. The hostel is very beautiful and gives you the opportunity to meet a lot of people from all around the world. I also had a lot of free time to discover granada and the other cities of andalucía.

Luca was one of those special people who truly leave a mark 💫 From the very first moment, she filled ECO with positive energy, joy, and an amazing vibe. Her stay was short, but she became part of the family instantly and brought so much to the atmosphere of the hostel. We’re grateful for her time with us and wish her all the best in everything she does — our doors will always be open for her! 💚

I had such a great experience at the Eco Hostel! The whole team was amazing. Everyone who works in reception and helps us out are so friendly and fun people. They really do help and ask for weekly suggestions on what they can help with during our meetings. The overall work is super easy. Typically most days you only work around 4 hours but even if you were scheduled all day you'd still have from 8am-5:30pm free. It's a job that requires lots of interaction with guests, but you have lots of time to recharge your social battery lol. Overall such a cool experience! Always something fun to do!

Sasha was an excellent volunteer — always punctual, responsible, and committed to her role. She was reliable, easy to work with, and brought a great energy to the team. We truly appreciated her professionalism and attitude, and we’re happy she enjoyed the experience at ECO! Wishing her all the best in her future travels — our doors are always open! 💚✨

I really enjoyed my staying at Eco Hostel, the reception time are lovely and super nice and caring.Problem is the daughter of the owners, she's not easy to deal with at all! And super lazy about doing her job. Toilets and sleeping area are great! The Job asked is easy, if you can't do the job asked you can't work nowhere else. Soo main problem is how poorly managed is the hostel by the owners, they have 5/6 volunteers and they don't really care about you at all! Just complain about anything they can. However it don't fit all here but Matt and Paula are the best they will take care about you!

Glad you enjoyed the hostel and the team—Matt and Paula are great!

We trust our staff and delegate responsibilities because running a hostel takes more than just being friendly—it requires organization and commitment. High standards aren’t being "picky"; they’re essential.
As for your personal message, with 25 years in the industry our experience speaks for itself. Judging our management without understanding the market or operations in Spain is simply off-base
Wishing you the best

I had a fantastic volunteering experience at Eco Hostel. Like others before me have mentioned, the work is straightforward and fair. This position gives you a great opportunity to explore Granada's beautiful culture, nightlife and outdoors. Moreover, you'll meet a range of other guests and volunteers from all over. I'd highly recommended this experience to anyone who enjoys being social and meeting new friends. I would like to give a special shout out to the excellent team working at Reception. They are lovely and great to work with and made this volunteering experience even better!

This place was amazing. The staff and volunteers are so friendly and welcoming - if you do your job and have a good attitude, they'll treat you like family. The hours are flexible and the work doesn't feel like work. I'm sad to be leaving, but it's been a great experience and I'll miss everyone I worked with.

You will have an awesome experience at ECO Hostel in Granada!! :D The hostel's facilities are great, filled with a bunch of different cute little spaces to hang out, such as a café, co-working space, living room, a tidy kitchen, and other little hangout spots. The work was fun! You will learn more about Granada by doing a little walking tour, get closer to nature by doing a hiking tour in the mountains, and also improve your cooking by making meals for the guests and other volunteers. The volunteers' dynamic was super fun, and the staff was very warm and supportive! Also Granada is awesome<3
