Sociable, Friendly Volunteers for our Awesome Hostel on Loch Ness

The hostel is a wonderful place for nature, social and fun activities- e.g. hiking, interactive games, raves to list a few. The kitchen is very well equipped and due to the many eager signs always clean :) Since the whole capacity of the hostel contains around 40 beds, the work is very easy and fair. Our dearest supervisor (Robert) was always very supportive and open for new suggestions to improve the hostel and community even further. Every communal meal with the other volunteers and manager felt like a big family. Thanks for the memories and raves, love you all, would definitely recommend <33

The hostel was one of my best experiences with world packers. Rob is a very good manager. The hostel is located right next to the loch and just across the street from one of the best trails in Scotland. The communication was very easy and everyone is super nice! I really recommend it to anyone who likes nature and hiking.

Because I don't believe in negative feedbacks and I prefer going and see everything by myself I'd love talking about my own perception: I'd love to thank God and the Universe again Peter (the owner) is a beautiful person and Rob (the supervisor)is a wonderful host Rob took care of the volunteers and guests He asked all of us if we felt good about our tasks He let us do our job and He believed us He always took us to the grocery store Homework was according to schedule He was always respectful He always allowed us to have fun He'll definitely be in our hearts forever and ever we love you Rob :)

This was my first volunteering experience and the hostel set the bar very high for my future trips. Rob, the manager communicated the tasks clearly and was always there to answer any question. He felt more like a fellow volunteer than a "boss" at work. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the workload never felt too much or unfair. Shops to buy food are not in the immediate area but Rob and we volunteers were constantly doing trips together to stock up or enjoy a nice day at a cafe/restaurant. I felt like I was part of something. All in all an exciting and inspiring trip!

The hostel is the perfect place to escape to. Nestled on the bank of Loch Ness in the Highlands, it offers time to reflect and reconnect with yourself while becoming a part of a dynamic, tight-knit team. the hostel is a part of a larger parent company that has hostels spread across Scotland, so there are also chances to see and experience other areas of the country very easily. The work is very easy and leaves most of the day to relax or explore. 100% recommend joining this team!

Do yourself a favor and come to the hostel. The hostel is in a beautiful area right on the Loch. You'll just love the team and whoever has Rob as a manager can count themselves lucky. The hostel doesn't have a lot of beds, so the work isn't difficult and you don't feel stressed. What is important to note: there is no supermarket nearby and the Wifi is not the best. So who needs more action (pubs) and if the internet is very important for you, is the hostel the wrong place for you. It was a good time for me and who knows, maybe I'll come back one day. Rob, guys, thank you!!♡

My heart is full after a month at the hostel - an amazing group of people, in a beautiful, natural environment. The work is straightforward and easily completed with plenty of time to spare to kayak, hike or just enjoy the view from the deck. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a small store behind the reception counter in case you start to run short on food! There are opportunities to go on team excursions if you want, and I enjoyed a road trip to Fort Augustus and Glen Rowan cafe while I was there. I've made some great friendships in my time here ☺️
