My experience was mixed : the hostel was in poor condition: I was promised a private room but got a dark dorm with no AC or windows, and the common areas were very dirty. Promises from the profile (discounts, events, surfboards, …) were not kept. The restaurant work was fun! Julian, always here for you for whatever you need, and meeting the other volunteers was the best part. Working hours matched what was described. But I sometimes felt uncomfortable around the hostel owner (and I'm not the only girl that felt that way). So I wouldn't recommend going there even tho I met incredible people :(

I’m sorry the hostel was not up to your ac standards we did not promise you a private room & we did and still do have 2 surf boards but they are not beginner boards that’s why you couldn’t ride, we have two surf instructors who gave the other girls classes with a discount and multiple times I got the crew into the clubs at a discount rate/free. I try my best to accommodate everyone to my abilities but this review was abit false & every other girl from your time you stayed wrote good reviews

The highlight of my experience was definitely the amazing atmosphere among the volunteers. Such a beautiful energy and I made great friends. The work can feel like quite a lot for the type of accommodation provided. Brendon can be a bit hard to read at times and I noticed some comments that might feel uncomfortable for Mexicans, though I don't think he's a bad person. I wouldn't recommend it as a first volunteering experience, but if you already have some experience and want to meet great people, the community vibe is really special.

De mis primeras experiencias viajando sola y debo decir que ha sido una de las mejores, tanto el anfitrión como los demás voluntarios hacen que la estadía sea agradable, igualmente puedes aprender mucho con los huéspedes .

Una de las mejores experiencias que pude haber vivido. Estoy muy agradecida de esta experiencia y del lugar que elegí, hice amistades tanto con el staff como con huespedes. Lo recomiendo muchisimo, el jefe es una de las personas mas cool que he conocido y nada como tener a Luna todos los días, poder disfrutar de la playa que esta enfrente de tí y los atardeceres tan bonitos que te regala Puerto en el rooftop. 10/10 ❣️❣️

Elegí este voluntariado porque pensaba que trabajaría en la cocina.. pero fueron solo los primeros 3 dias.. luego me pusieron a trabajar en el hostal mas horas.. es un trabajo muy ligero y exactamente en frente del mar

Le doy 3 estrellas porque vivi un buen momento con los voluntarios. Es un buen lugar para conocer gente de todo el mundo y conectar con ellos 🫰 gracias por eso. Tenia pensando quedarme un mes pero me fui antes porque me sentia incomoda con el jefe, y no fui la unica. Las tareas eran faciles y los horarios correctos pero el alojamiento no corespondia a lo prometido: dormitorio sin ventana, sin comodidad y bastante sucio. Y mas que todo he tenido que hablar con la app porque el jefe me bloqueo para que evitar comentarios negativos.

Los amigos que hice es lo que me llevo del voluntariado, sin ellos no hubiera sido lo mismo. El hostel está bien ubicado aunque al estar en la calle de los clubs no puedes desconectar de la música desde que te levantas hasta que te vas a dormir. Pude tener habitación privada con mi amiga y eso fue muy agradecido. Las instalaciones son muy sencillas hay que ser consciente que no hay grandes lujos. En cuanto el voluntariado en el restaurante, las horas cumplen con las que se indican en worldpackers. Pocos turnos pero muchas horas al final del día. Con los voluntarios los turnos son divertidos:)
