The experience

We're looking for helping hands in administration, restaurant service, bar, and maintenance working the night shifts and mainly during busy weekends. These are our main needs, but travellers are more than welcome to contribute to any project that sparks their interest. Come share your skills and be part of an amazing experience! ✨








What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside South Africa

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift

Blue Sky Mining will provide the tent, mattress and bedding. Dormitory accommodation can be arranged occasionally in the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain, storm, etc.) Subject to availability though! It is your responsibility to keep your tent clean at all times! You'll have to bring your washing to the laundry at no charge! Please hand your "MARKED" washing bag in at reception or laundry.)


Staff Register, Working Hours

Please record working hours incl. lunch breaks using the staff register daily!
You are required to work at an average of 6 hours p. day; at a maximum of 32 hours p. week from Monday to Sunday!
Exception: Volunteer workers that are assigned to perform work only in the maintenance/garden sector will work from Monday to Friday as follows:

Start:07.00
Tea Break: 10.00 to 10.15
