My time at the shelter was very valuable and memorable! The volunteers & owners were very welcoming and cared about my integration despite a language barrier. Everyone really cares for the dogs - It was inspiring to see so much meaningful work done w/ little resources. Fair warning that since it's a donation based non-profit, it's not furnished well, we share our lounge area w/ the dogs so it gets quite dirty, and a rat near the kitchen. It took me some getting used to but it was a small price to pay when I saw how important their work is - everyone working to give so many dogs much better lives ❤️

This was my first worldpacker experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Patri was very welcoming from the get-go and responded to any questions or concerns I had. All the volunteers at the shelter were so welcoming and kind and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to spend the time with. The work was really fulfilling and enjoyable and you can see how much the people there care about the animals. I would love to go back again and I was sorry that I only chose to go here for two weeks , I wish my stay had been longer.

As a first volunteering experience I couldn't have hoped for anything better than that !! Patri, Jose and all of the others volunteers are just soooo nice and committed to da good thing for those precious animals! They all made me feel at home and I will forever be grateful for their kindness and generosity. I have now so many new memories and friends that I will never forget !! Grateful and hoping to be able to see them all again soon !

I had an incredible experience working at the shelter. all the people there are there to care for animals, which says a lot about their personalities: kind and caring, with lots of generosity to give. the community there was more like a family than a workplace, all united by a common objective. the work is very fun- essentially consisting of playing with animals and taking dogs for walks through the beautiful Catalunyan countryside. i would definitely recommend the shelter and hopefully will return one day. thanks to everyone that made my experience great!

El refugio. Este nombre ha dejado una huella en mí que no se borrará nunca. Estoy muy agradecida y emocionada. Laura, la primera persona que conocí allí es maravillosa. Se deja la piel por los el refugio y por los worldpackers. Ojalá existieran más personas como ella en el mundo!! No pude tener compañeros mejores, y no solo hablo de los voluntarios que conocí, a los que me llevo en el corazón para siempre. Hablo de los el refugio, que sin tener la capacidad de hablar, te hablan, te agradecen tu trabajo con la mirada, y te demuestran su cariño llenándote de besos. No os olvidaré nunca. Volveré!!❤️

La conexión con los el refugio en cada paseo o el tiempo compartido en sus box, los voluntarios y el tiempo vivenciado en los ratos libres o en cada almuerzo/cena, la magia del refu y sus espacios, la naturaleza que te rodea.. Todo contribuye a que te sumerjas en una cotidianeidad que no querés que termine. Es mi segunda experiencia en el refugio, y la repetiría mil veces más :)

Fue una experiencia única! los el refugio el refugio fueron tan hermosos y sus historias tristes, por eso el refugio es un hogar de esperanza y una promesa de amor, ver como crecieron los gatitos y los cachorros ha sido fantástico, también presenciar los rescates de Modesta, Archie y Asha, estar allí para recibirlos, rehabiliarles y darles su primer paseo fue hermoso, no olvidaré jamás mi paso por este maravilloso lugar. Por cierto, los voluntarios worldpackers los amé! Julián, Mariana, Sara, Maxi, Flor y Laurita la voluntaria local fueron fabulosos! equipazo, los llevo en mi corazón

No podría haber tenido una mejor primera experiencia como Worldpacker. Entre los hosts, los voluntarios locales y el resto de los worldpackers, es un lugar que te contiene de principio a fin y te acompaña en lo que necesites. Se lo recomiendo a absolutamente todas las personas que quieran empezar con la plataforma, o quieran hacer una actividad de este tipo. Ya los extraño a todos!

Estoy muy feliz por esta experiencia. Las personas y voluntarios locales siempre estuvieron al pendiente y ayudando con cariño. Gracias de corazón por la oportunidad y el cuidado. Disfruté vivir en la naturaleza, convivir con los peludos que me robaron el corazón y compartir con otros voluntarios. También tuve tiempo de conocer parte de Cataluña, ¡es hermosa! Espero volver algún día.
