My experience here was great! I had an amazing time with the crew and the guests, aswell as truly enjoyed the hostel itself as it's clean, and well equipped! (I basically lived in the pool). I was very happy when i was given a job based on my skills (media) and Adam was very flexible/understanding/welcoming to any plans/ideas that would change my schedule. As long as you do your work and respect the rules, you will have a great time here. Things can get quite relaxed and it's good to enjoy the nice moments with eachother, and also quite crazy when buys! Made some great friends.

If you're ready for a pub crawl every other night, multiple free drinks a day and one free staff meal and to be the life of the party this place is for you! I truly had a wonderful experience here, and would love to come back in the future. Huge shoutout to Jeff who showed me local food spots gave me some great life advice and made the hostel a home away from home. Adam was a great host he always willing to help you out in times of need and created an organized schedule each week easy to plan your exploration around, if you need a specific day with a bit of notice he's very flexible!

Dolphin Hostel in Hoi An is by far the best hostel I've stayed at. Clean, affordable, with a beautiful pool and the warmest vibe. What makes it truly special is Adam, the manager. Professional, patient, and incredibly supportive, he always encouraged us without pressure and made everyone feel at home. Volunteering here never felt like work—it was fun, social, and unforgettable. Thank you, Adam, for your kindness and energy. This was my favorite experience of my whole trip. Not a goodbye, but a see you soon! ♥️

Volunteering at the hostel felt more like a lifestyle than volunteer work. You receive a multitude of discounts on services and tours that the hostel offers as well as a few free drinks and free select meals daily. My responsibility was to socialise and run the events in the evenings which were all fun. Adam, the manager, is an incredibly kind person and made me feel very welcomed and a valuable part of the team. A big thanks to Adam and the rest of the hostel staff for making my experience an unforgettable one!

If you're down to socialize with guests and go out (almost) every night the hostel is a great hostel to volunteer at. Workload is easy with the most “labour intensive” task being that of leading pubcrawls 2-3 days a week. Most days you won't start work until evening so you have all day to explore Hoi An and surroundings areas. Adam is an amazing and understanding volunteer. Only issue I had at the hostel was since it's new, the activities can change on short notice but Adam is always seeking volunteer insight on how we can improve the activities! 10/10 experience

Wow, what can I say! Andrew is a pub crawl legend and will remain as one of the best volunteers we've ever had. Andrew is super committed to the role and gave 110% every day. Andrews style is different from most but it absolutely works and along with Isla, is the best volunteer we've ever had from WorldPackers. Hire this guy, he can run events day in day out, solo or as a team, and could probably do it with his eyes closed! A big thanks to Andrew, legend.

This volunteer experience is one I will never forget! The hostel is absolutely fantastic, extremely clean and well looked after by the friendly staff. Adam, the manager, is a great guy and made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The work is really enjoyable, allowing you to meet and interact with people from all over the world. Also the working hours are very fair, providing you ample time to explore the surrounding areas and nightlife when you're off. Common areas, especially the pool, are great to meet other people and relax. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I've done a few reviews for volunteers now but I can wholeheartedly say Isla is in the absolute elite group of best volunteers ever! A huge step up from most, with way more passion and initiative than anyone else we've had from WorldPackers. The combo of you, Mai & Andrew in particular was next level & we appreciate your efforts very very much. You will go far in life because you're a great person and I loved hanging out with you. Please come back again in the future, PLEASE! Thank you Isla :)

Volunteering in the hostel was amazing! I loved the tasks as basically is to host the evening activities (Pub Crawls, Game night, Quiz night, etc), you can work doing Walking tours in the day one or two days a week as well. I worked along more volunteers and they were amazing as well. You have all day basically to explore the city or just chill in the pool. Adam is a great manager and I would've definitely stayed longer if I had the time :(, I'm gonna miss you guys, thanks for everything ✨

Thanks for coming along and giving your time to volunteer with us! We appreciate your hard work running events with the team. It was a really fun crew and you were a big part of that. Thanks for giving some detail about the role to potential volunteers - I think hearing about some of the other roles available, this is quite easy, but of course quite demanding socially. To hosts reading this, Naomi is capable, caring and happy. Hire her! Thanks again mate :)

This was such an amazing and fun experience!! The hostel is amazing and the work is truly fun and you get to meet so many amazing people! The hours are fair and Adam is such a cool and nice guy. We loved our stay. The only thing to note is the female and male floors are separate so if you're a couple keep that in mind but Adam communicated that early on so we were well prepared and had an amazing experience. I honestly wish we could have stayed longer.

Thanks to both of you for coming along and running events at Dolphins Hostel! It was a really fun team and you guys did a great job, always happy and cared well for the guests.

Haha yes, for couples it might not be ideal because we only have separate dorms but thanks for understanding.

We wish you stayed longer too, we were just getting into it and the vibe with that team of volunteers was so good!

Safe travels and for any potential hosts reading - hire these guys!

Amazing Volunteering Experience in Hoi An! I had the most wonderful time volunteering at this hostel in Hoi An! From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and approachable. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and I immediately felt like part of the family. The hostel itself is beautiful – clean, cozy, and very well maintained. One of my favorite parts was definitely the swimming pool – the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring or working. The common areas were also great for meeting other travelers and volunteers from all around the world.

Thanks so much for coming along and helping at Dolphins Hostel! We appreciate the great write up too :) We loved having you here to run the events of which you did an awesome job! We're happy to hear you had a great experience with us and we hope your next experience is just as good. After you left I did 3 weeks as the only person running events - so I missed you very much. You're more than welcome back in the future and to potential hosts reading this, get Katarina on your team!

I want to sincerely thank Adam for an amazing experience during my first volunteering mission with Worldpackers. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and truly inspiring. His passion for his work and dedication to making his guests feel welcomed and supported really stood out. I felt constantly encouraged by his energy and enthusiasm. I couldn't have asked for a better start to my volunteering journey. My only advice to future volunteers would be to make sure you genuinely enjoy the tasks involved. That way, you'll be able to give your best and get the most out of the experience.

A huge thank you to you to Siwar! It was a positive experience for both of us. You came in at a difficult time just after a group of long term volunteers had left. Thank you for bringing the vibes & humour! Keeping guests happy came naturally to you & you're a pleasure to be around. It's clear to see that you can take on any role & adapt. Despite this being your first volunteer role, you nailed it and worked well to create events with other volunteers. Safe travels & come back anytime!
