Program Details
Our biodynamic farm welcomes guests seeking a peaceful escape into nature, and as a volunteer in this role, you’ll help make their stay unforgettable! Your tasks will focus on guest interactions, housekeeping, and organizing to ensure smooth operations.
Each day starts with breakfast and a morning briefing, where we go over check-ins, and any housekeeping needs. You’ll be assigned tasks in pairs or small teams, making sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s welcoming guests with a smile, preparing cozy spaces, or keeping common areas fresh, your role is essential in creating a relaxing and inviting environment.
This is a great opportunity to develop hospitality skills, work in a supportive team, and experience life on a nature-focused farmstay. Additionally, we may need volunteers to stay around for some evenings in case guests need assistance, such as helping with a heater or replacing a gas cylinder - on such days you would have some hours free in the morning.
Activities & Shift
9:00-10:00 AM – Breakfast & Briefing
Each morning starts with breakfast together, where we go over the guest schedule and assign tasks for the day.
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Start Activities
During the workday, volunteers will rotate between guest experience and housekeeping tasks, such as welcoming and assisting guests, tidying bedrooms and bathrooms, refreshing common areas, and ensuring cozy, well-prepared spaces. Some days may also require light organizing, setting up linens, or assisting with minor guest needs like replacing a gas bottle on the BBQ grill (don't worry we have an ATV on hand that makes such tasks a lot more fun ;)). Additionally, volunteers may be asked to stay available in the evening on occasion to help with things like replacing a gas cylinder or assisting guests in minor things like turning on a heater if they aren't sure how to do it themselves. All tasks are done in a way that creates a fun, supportive, and social work environment.
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Lunch Break
2:00 - 4:00 PM - Continuation of Activities
At 3:00 PM guests begin to arrive for check-in, this is where volunteers can assist with check-ins, welcoming guests, and answering questions.
4:00 PM - Work Ends for the Day
After finishing tasks, volunteers are free to enjoy the farm, relax, or explore the surrounding nature!
PS: On some days, you may need to stay available in the evening for guest check-in or support.
Rules
Volunteers should be friendly, approachable, and reliable, as they play a key role in welcoming guests and ensuring they have a great stay. Good communication and attentiveness are essential when assisting with check-ins and answering guest questions. Cleanliness and organization are important for preparing rooms and common areas, so we expect volunteers to take care when tidying spaces. Some days may require staying available in the evening to assist guests with small needs like replacing a gas cylinder or helping with a heater. Volunteers should be team players, respectful of shared spaces, and proactive in offering help when needed. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and enjoy the experience of hosting guests in a beautiful nature setting.
