Program Details
I’m currently in the middle of a home renovation project in Mussomeli—a beautiful, historic town in the heart of Sicily that has become a hub for people restoring old homes. It’s an incredible place to immerse yourself in authentic Sicilian culture, breathtaking landscapes, and a slower, more meaningful way of life.
In exchange, I can offer a cozy room with a comfortable bed and bathroom, full access to a shared kitchen, and welcoming communal spaces like the living and dining rooms. The community here is lively and diverse, with many people form around the world who bring warmth, energy, and a love of good food, BBQs, movie nights, and the occasional trip to the local pub and beach. It’s a fantastic place to connect with people and experience a true sense of belonging.
Activities & Shift
Recently, I acquired a charming old home here in Sicily. While it has great character and an ideal location, it needs some essential upgrades—plumbing, some electrical work, plastering, carpentry, painting, and fitting kitchens and bathrooms. I’m looking for someone with a creative, hands-on approach who’s enthusiastic about DIY projects and willing to learn and contribute.
The project will last about 1–2 months, with a relaxed but structured schedule of around 5-6 hours a day, 5 days per week. More than just renovating a home, this experience is about bringing new life into a space—turning it into a haven for creativity and connection. I aim to have the main renovations completed by May or June so that the house can be enjoyed during the summer season—one of the best times to be in Sicily.
