The experience

We are an Ecuadorian family made up of Oswaldo, Blanca, our daughter Zoe, as well as our dog Scott and our cats Geraldina and Manchita. If you are a pet lover, they will always seek your attention. We live on our finca located in a small village near Latacunga, where we grow vegetables such as carrots, kale, broccoli, cabbage.

Volunteering with us, you will have the chance to live with an Ecuadorian family, improve your Spanish, learn new skills


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate Spanish or Intermediate English

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We like to welcome volunteers as part of the family. We will share meals together and you will have access to everything you may need in the house (kitchen, food, washing machine, wifi). We prefer that phones are put away when eating so we can enjoy our time together.

Volunteers share a large bedroom, and you can use our bathrooms. We will make sure you have hot water for showers. Please bear in mind that this is farm life and living conditions are simple.


Activities & Shift

Type of help
We mainly need help with:
- field work with the tractor
- sorting and packing vegetables

You do not need any previous experience, we will teach you everything you need! Our staff is very kind and will always help you out as well. We are looking for motivated and hardworking volunteers who wish to learn and discover new skills. We mainly need help in the afternoon 1-6pm to sort and pack vegetables. We work all week but are flexible with days off, except on Friday and Sunday as these are busiest days.
