The experience

We are a small family-run hotel located in the village of Achill Sound, near to amenities and buses to Westport and Keel. We are looking for volunteers to help us with kitchen, restaurant, and housekeeping jobs.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift

We require 5 hours of work per day, 5 days a week. Two days off are offered per week but these days are not usually able to be taken consecutively. You will assist in a variety of areas in the hotel such as helping in the kitchen, waiting tables, and assisting in housekeeping duties.

Rules

We feel responsible for you while you are staying with us so we ask that you let us know if you will be staying out very late at night, or if you are travelling somewhere on your day off.
