The experience

Would you like to combine working in hospitality but also spend your freetime exploring the most amazing nature in the world? then become a volunteer at our Hostel!

We are located in a beautiful village called Stamsund in the Lofoten Islands. Our hostel is placed right by the sea with views of ocean and mountains.
Your tasks would include:
- Cleaning rooms/huts
- Cleaning common areas
- Assisting guests with info/etc
- Plus more!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Over 20 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

European Union Passport

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We are looking for you who can help us asap now in September and possibly October!

You will have free accomodation in either a private room or shared with other volunteers.
You will be given about 150-200 NOK a day for food.
2 days off a week.

You will meet people from all around the world! at the same time you will live in beautiful surroundings with the possibility to explore the Lofoten Islands in your free time!

Activities & Shift

Daily tasks will be cleaning rooms/huts/bathrooms and common areas, assisting guests with their questions and other needs. Also assisting on other things like boat/fishing gear/SUP/Bike rentals. In other words assisting in all aspects of the hostel.

Do you have other skills? Maybe within social media, digital marketing? or other crafts? We are always interested in people with different types of skills!

Rules

We are looking for servicemindend people! The most important thing is that you love meeting new people and always carry a smile :)

Because of laws and regulations, we can only accept volunteers from the EU/EAA!
