I love it so much. It's basically living and working on the beach. Place is unique. It's simple stay but enough.

Great fun behind the bar, the staff, customers and other volunteers really made it fun. Some days are very fast-paced, but you get a lot of reward in return.

I had an enjoyable time at the host, I get the chance to improve some skills and gain new ones, spend time with locals and even learned couple words in malay. Since the working hours is just afternoon I had time to explore the island during the day. The island itself is amazing! The work can be tough if you're not🤣 I really enjoyed it. I miss the team already and I hope to be back one day. If you're a fancy/demanding person maybe its not for you, keep in mind that its a small and quite remote island so its a simple beach life, no ac but lots of fun and good vibes.

The location is amazing and waking up by the sea is wonderful. The facilities are basic, the mattress is quite comfortable. The vibe with other volunteers and staff really made my experience unforgettable. I developed skills as a bartender which I didn't have before and I'm very grateful for this. However, the shifts are quite long and I felt I was treated more like an employee than a volunteer. It's a great experience if you're looking for a social atmosphere as the host is one of the most popular places in the island.

It was my mistake to think that I was better than others, not taking care of previous review on this host, and that if the communication was the only problem, I could find a way.. Nope ! At my arrival, volunteers were counting days there. Welcome was great, everything changed after 3 days. We work at least 60 hours a week, and cannot use flexibility with host to ensure the processes (50%+ boring hours). Staff is smoking in the room, money and clothes have been missing, 100dB room 🙉food is way too spicy...Luckily there were 2 amazing volunteers, who didnt have my chance to be able to leave now

Hi thanks for the review. You stayed with us only for 4 days, and had problems with the staff here and island locals in just 4 days. Other volunteer did come to us and complain about being uncomfortable with you. Even got several complains from some establishment that you went during your stay on this island regarding your attitude. I'm sorry that u had bad 4 days experience here with us, which I highly doubt. And we can't keep you here if you keep on having trouble with everyone here. Thank you

Working at the host Bar was a great experience that helped me build valuable skills in the hospitality and bar industry. I gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, learned to work efficiently as part of a team, and improved my customer service abilities. It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and develop strong communication skills. Overall, it was a rewarding and enjoyable place to work. Although you work long hours you will get rewarded in experience and a fun time.

I volunteered at the host for 2 weeks and overall, it was a positive experience. The location is stunning—right in front of the sea, with amazing views and a very relaxed vibe, perfect for connecting with nature. My tasks included cleaning, helping in the kitchen, working at the bar, and general support wherever needed. The working hours were fair, but sometimes the organization lacked clarity, which could lead to a bit of confusion. Still, it was a good opportunity to adapt and learn to work in a more flexible environment

I had an amazing time volunteering—great location near dive sites and an incredible group of supportive volunteers made the experience truly memorable. However, communication from the owners was often unclear and, at times, discouraging when we took initiative. Clearer and more respectful communication would have really improved things. Overall, it was a meaningful experience in a beautiful place, and with better guidance, it could be exceptional.

Hi Jasmine thank you for your review.

We are sorry that we dont meet your expectations during your stay here. We appreciate your help.

However, we strongly discourage volunteers to change the way we ran and cook in the kitchen, especially if it involves changing the way the food has been served before.

Thank you
