This was my best experience I have ever made ! I was here during the laying and hatchery season so I saw eggs but also babies turtles and it was amazing ! The camp is very clean and comfortable even if it is in the nature The hosts Alba and Manuel are the best, they don't hesitate to help you if you need and they are good cookers by the way ! I really recommend you to come here and enjoy it !

The most amazing experience. It truly feels like a family when you work here. Alba and Manuel are lovely. We learnt so much about the turtles and helping them as much as possible

This experience was truly incredible, myself and molly spent 10 days volunteering with acotpro but we could have stayed a lot longer. The camp itself is beautiful, you are truly immersed in the nature and you sleep so well thanks to the sounds of the waves at night. The camp is clean and well maintained. Alba and Manuel felt like family to us by the end of our time there, they are two incredible humans who show so much passion, empathy and kindness. We learnt so much about the turtles, saw many babies and formed true connections. We cannot thank you enough and hope to return! 🐢

I stayed at ACOTPRO for a little over two week and would highly recommend to anyone that wants the real local experience. I saw turtles, nests and was lucky enough to see freshly hatched baby turtles. It was magical!! The work during the day was easy and there was plenty of time to relax. I always felt taken care of by Alba and Manuel and all the wonderful staff. The food was delicious and made with love. Everyone was so kind and by the time I left, I felt part of the community. I made a friend whom I decided to travel with afterwards. We will both hold this experience with us forever 🫶

My time at ACOTPRO was transformational. Not only did we get to see turtles, eggs and nests, but we also witnessed the first hatch of the season on our very last night! Releasing the baby turtles into the ocean was such an incredible experience. Being fully immersed in nature and the local culture also made this experience stand out. The food was always so fresh and delicious, myself and the other travellers felt like we were part of the community by the end of our stay. If you are considering supporting a turtle conservation project in Costa Rica this is the one! :)

I cannot recommend this experience ENOUGH! This was my first time volunteering with Worldpackers and it was fantastic! Acortpro is such a special place to volunteer. The people are some of the most welcoming people I've ever met and are so helpful. The accommodations are rustic and the lifestyle is truly simple! Be prepared to spend a lot of time relaxing. The work was always meaningful and clear directions were given. Some days of work were hard due to the heat but everyone is accommodating with breaks. The work was only a few hours in the morning . The meals were all delicious and filling.

My time at ACOTPRO was amazing. We had 3 meals a day that were always good and I never thought that I was not fed enough. The work was hard as we were digging sand in the sun, but only ended up working for 1 hour a day. Everyone was so nice. The people you meet there make the whole experience. Overall I had a wonderful time and would recommend this experience to anyone.

I loved my time at ACOTPRO! Everyone was so kind, welcoming and fun. It's obvious they all care about the work they do and I learned a lot about the life cycle of sea turtles and got to contribute to the conservation effort. I was also able to meet and make friends with many locals and attend local soccer games and parties since the hosts are very connected to the community. The location is beautiful and I'm definitely going to try to make it back to ACOTPRO!

Really good turtle conservation. Rob is so knowledgeable and excellent at making the project feel very professional. Lovely little town and everyone is so friendly. Short beach so night patrols are short and easy to see many turtles!

This volunteering experience is one I'll never forget! You make life long connections with people there and are completely immersed in nature. Being fed 3 times a day (even though it's usually a combination rice and beans) the meals are always delicious. We came at the end of January, so unfortunately just missed the turtle season but still had a great time chilling on the private beach.
