This was my first worldpackers experience and genuinely had the most amazing month! Adrian was very inviting and inclusive encouraging all the volunteers to meet each other, even got to know him as a person, hes a friendly and funny guy. The work was clear and structured well and he is flexible with situations. I got quite sick early on and was able to swap some shifts, and he is empathetic and direct about what needs to be done at reception to avoid confusion. The two hostels arr located quite centrally making it easy to see the city. I would absolutely volunteer here again :)

Overall: My experience at First Hostel was very pleasant, I've made great friendships with the volunteers and guests which tend to be young. With 3 free days a week I've had time to travel Romania! Facilities: Note that you'll be assigned to work and lodge in two different hostels. The accomodation is well maintained although one staff room can feel a bit cramped at max capacity, cleanliness is up to the volunteers. Shifts vary from reception to bar and activities, I mainly did bar shifts and enjoyed it! Adrian is very sweet, flexible and caring. I'm sure you'll find a friend in him!

First hostel has been one of the best experiences I have had in these months that I have been traveling with WP. The job is at the reception, there are two hostels that are 15 minutes away walking, you will have to volunteer at both hostels. Keep in mind that the concept is party hostel, so if you like parties, don't hesitate to apply. Bucharest is a beautiful city that has a lot to know. Adrian is a super host and excellent person. He is always ready to help you and make you have a good time. I am grateful to have met in this place! ✨

My experience in First Hostel was amazing! It was my first WorldPackers adventure and I could not have asked for a better one. Adrian is an amazing host and he is very attentive to everyones feelings and necessities. He was always making sure that we were happy and comfortable at the same time that he invited us to celebrate and to get to know the city and the culture. The work was pretty simple and the hours per day were easy to handle. If I have the opportunity I will come back for sure! :)

A really great place to volunteer, with very relaxed work and an excellent location that allows you to explore the city a lot. Good infrastructure for cooking and sleeping. Occasionally, the host organizes some events that are really fun to participate in with everyone and create good connections.

My time in Bucharest was amazing, I connected with wonderful people who made me feel at home. Adrian is one of the liveliest people I've ever met, he always asks volunteers out and it's always a lot of fun. Furthermore, he gave me a ticket to a Saga Festival and to Therme Bucharest. The job at the hostel is just reception and the system is very intuitive, the only challenge I encountered was because the hostel was very busy during the summer, but it was great for me to practice my English. If you're looking for a lively place to volunteer, I recommend it!

I did this experience with my best friend and we felt right at home from the beginning. Adrian is a great host, he accommodated our requests and needs effortlessly, giving us days off together and allowing us to have a room just for ourselves. He took us to good parties and incredible experiences in Bucharest. The tasks at the hostel are simple and easy to learn. Also, the schedule offers plenty of free time to explore other cities! It is a great experience with a good host and good people. I made a lot of good friends here and would recommend :)

My experience with First Hostel exceed my expectations. I was welcomed by the other volunteers and the owner Adrian as soon as I arrived and continued to feel at home throughout my stay. The tasks at the hostel are fairly simple and easy to learn. Also the schedule offers plenty of down time. Adrian is very inclusive and often invites the volunteers out to restaurants and bars together. I highly recommend working with this Hostel!
