Truly such an incredible experience. Shankari is an amazing inspirational woman. The spot is situated in such serene nature it's like a fairytale! Doing mosaic arts was so special and fun to get creative. The provided so much information for arrival it was very helpful. The only thing i would recommend to improve on was that the volunteer work itself was not what we agreed upon, we were confirmed to do content creation for the jewellery but when we got there we were told we weren't going to be doing that and had to fall in with other volunteer work. would love to return again, was amazing ✨

Volunteering at Shankari's Place was an unforgettable experience. The work, mainly creating mosaics, was unique and artistic, allowing me to learn new skills while expressing creativity. the project is an amazing person, full of wisdom and inspiration, there's so much to learn from her. The location is very local, offering an authentic insight into Indonesian culture and daily life. Connecting with locals made the experience even more enriching. If you're looking for a meaningful, artistic, and immersive opportunity, I highly recommend it.

Being able to part of this volunteering experience was a gift to me and am grateful to had the opportunity to get to know Shankari and learning how to do mosaic and make this place even more special as it is already. The place feels magical and Shankari and everyone there are just so lovely and kind. You are close to nature to the fullest. 🥰🙏 hope to be back in sometime soon!

I stayed two weeks at the project and it was one of my favourite volunteers so far. The work was easy and always fun and i met the best people while staying there. It is a pretty chill place and I would have stayed longer if i could. Thank you for the experience:)

Shankari's Artist the project is one of a kind, & I'm so grateful to have experienced it! Everything—food, yoga, massages, a surf beach—is within walking distance, so a motorbike isn't essential. The work itself is the most enjoyable I've done—3hrs a day on creative projects, guided by Shankari's encouragement to have give things a go & enjoy the process. The energy here is special, ineffable, something you have to experience to understand, the people kind & welcoming, the area beautiful & untouched by mass tourism. Stay at least a month if you can—I can't wait to return :)

I had a wonderful experience at the project! Ahkasha is very welcoming, he gave me all the necessary information about the work, the place and even recommendations on where to eat nearby as soon as I arrived. My tasks were painting and making mosaics and Shankari was really nice and always ready to explain you how to work. Everyone working there was also super kind. The atmosphere is super chill and creative and every Friday they offer dinner at the project. Highly recommended!

The work and the place was really great! Doing Mosaiks was more meditating than I thought and talking and working with Shankari was so inspiring, she, her sons and workers are all very nice and welcoming! The place was in a small village, what was great to see and explore nature.

Meet and Work with Shankari was an incredible experience, she's an amazing artist and woman, I really enjoyed learning mosaic techniques from her and her art, paintings and jewellery are incredible. Her house is a piece of art that's she built up over the years, just need a bit of maintenance.
