VEN is truly a great way for beginner as well as advanced photographers to connect with nature, learn about Vietnamese culture from local hosts, as well as make friends with fellow international volunteers. Highlights of the experience include exploring Son Tra peninsula to see monkeys as well as learning how to operate the fantastic camera equipment and preparing a presentation to display your work.

Thank you for your kind feedback! We're glad VEN gave you the chance to explore Son Tra Peninsula, use professional camera gear, photoshop guidance, and connect with nature, culture, and volunteers.

Your stunning bee-eater bird photos help us promote Vietnam’s beauty and raise awareness about conservation. We are so proud of your effort and great photos.

I spent a week with the wildlife photography program. Although it's a short period to develop a project, the team took care to adapt it well to the time I had available and helped me with everything I needed. The association's workers are lovely, and it's an opportunity to interact with locals and participate with an association that promotes nature conservation through photography and filmmaking. It's a very new project, so I think they're still refining some aspects of the program, but they're doing their best to ensure volunteers have a great experience. Thank you for this week!

The VEN team was really passionate about nature and videography. They were also very nice to me. The food is really good and cool to share with other volunteers, you are also free to eat alone. Sometimes it's hard to share the room with many people though. I sometimes felt like no one was listening to me and to what I wanted to do for my film. I had to be actor in it while I didn't really want to. I don't blame the VEN team because they are new at this program, but I just think the price was a bit too much compared to my experience.. I'm glad I got to discover Da nang on my own , thank you

Thank you, Alice, for trusting us as our first volunteer. A technical issue delayed your review, and a script miscommunication—featuring your story and a character based on you—led us to think you'd appear in the video. Since then, the program have totally improved. The fee now covers meals, accommodation, support, and extra activities.

Your product remind us how special you are and the great working effort https://youtu.be/iTlYwQlhWRk?si=gFAxc3blVYRwfumW

I really enjoyed my stay at the home and working with VEN🫶They have changed the program after having their first short term volunteers before me, so this time around I was allowed to film myself, with help from the staff, in the end I made my own documentary - so that was really cool! Everyone in the team works hard and are good at listening to your thoughts and concerns if you have anything. They are still figuring things out, so I recommend this program if you are ready for a great experience but also to keep you schedule free because plans are often last minute/changing

Thanks Taya, for your energy, creativity, kind words and for being Taya:)) We're seriously impressed you pulled off such an ambitious documentary in just 3 weeks-not many can say that! Wildlife filming is unpredictable(animals, weather, local rules and even volunteers!), but we’re always improving and take full responsibility when needed. Though we focus on wildlife, your personal storytelling brought something fresh. Your piece may inspire others:https://youtu.be/HiX_yPZ0VVw?si=ukzl4EeV2EFki0A1

Everyone welcomed me very warmly and did their best to create a great experience for me. Since the project is still very new, there are some things that still need improvement — for example, the project description and weekly schedule were sometimes inaccurate, and things felt a bit unorganized and spontaneous. However, there was always someone who listened to my concerns and trying to improve the project. So if you're very flexible and don't mind being more of an actor than a filmmaker, I can recommend the project. It felt like one big family — chaotic but full of love :)
