Volunteer House

Choosing to volunteer with us offers you a unique and enriching experience beyond just contributing to meaningful work. Here, you'll stay in a shared volunteer house, where you'll live and connect with other like-minded individuals from around the world, creating opportunities to share stories, perspectives, and cultures. You'll also get the chance to live alongside Vietnamese locals, offering you an authentic immersion into Vietnamese culture, traditions, and daily life that you wouldn't get elsewhere.

Our home is located in a peaceful local area, just 15 minutes from the beach—perfect for unwinding or exploring. It's more than just volunteering; it's about building connections, embracing cultural exchange, and enjoying the beauty of Vietnam. We can't wait to welcome you!

Our organisation is all about building meaningful connections and fostering a sense of community. We treat everyone as equals, ensuring respect, open communication, and a genuine appreciation for new ideas. Your contributions and perspectives will be valued, and we encourage collaboration and creativity in everything we do. Our staff is a vibrant and friendly group who love bringing people together. We frequently organize events and gatherings, where volunteers and staff come together to sing, share meals, celebrate special moments, and simply enjoy each other’s company. These moments create a warm, family-like atmosphere and give everyone a chance to connect on a deeper level. When you volunteer with us, you can expect to be welcomed into this supportive and fun environment, where you'll feel like part of the family from day one.

I had a great time with VEN! They are a truly amazing team of people who made my experience even better than I expected. I arrived there as a complete beginner in photography and that was perfectly fine. They explained everything to me and helped me a lot throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them!

*big thanks to Anna for her support before and during this program

Everyone was very welcoming. I was there when it was raining a lot restricting our ability to go photograph and they let me stay an extra 3 days for free to make sure I had the time to finish my presentation

During the past 2 weeks I have learned so much about culture, environment and professional skills in the filming field. From how to prepare a script to tell a story to the colours you integrate to make the story vivid.
The experience is 100% worth it if you are responsible and disciplined, they will help you if you need any assistance in preparing but the creativity is up to you. If you have time I recommend staying there a month to grasp every detail that is possible.
The facilities are very clean and comfortable, and the friends I did during the volunteering I will preserve for life ❤️

The VEN team was really passionate about nature and videography. They were also very nice to me. The food is really good and cool to share with other volunteers, you are also free to eat alone. Sometimes it’s hard to share the room with many people though.
I sometimes felt like no one was listening to me and to what I wanted to do for my film. I had to be actor in it while I didn’t really want to. I don’t blame the VEN team because they are new at this program, but I just think the price was a bit too much compared to my experience.. I’m glad I got to discover Da nang on my own , thank you

Thank you, Alice, for trusting us as our first volunteer. A technical issue delayed your review, and a script miscommunication—featuring your story and a character based on you—led us to think you'd appear in the video. Since then, the program have totally improved. The fee now covers meals, accommodation, support, and extra activities.

Your product remind us how special you are and the great working effort https://youtu.be/iTlYwQlhWRk?si=gFAxc3blVYRwfumW

VEN is truly a great way for beginner as well as advanced photographers to connect with nature, learn about Vietnamese culture from local hosts, as well as make friends with fellow international volunteers.
Highlights of the experience include exploring Son Tra peninsula to see monkeys as well as learning how to operate the fantastic camera equipment and preparing a presentation to display your work.

Thank you for your kind feedback! We're glad VEN gave you the chance to explore Son Tra Peninsula, use professional camera gear, photoshop guidance, and connect with nature, culture, and volunteers.

Your stunning bee-eater bird photos help us promote Vietnam’s beauty and raise awareness about conservation. We are so proud of your effort and great photos.
