I apply for 1 months but I definitely should apply for more, I really loved this place for many reason. The people (manager and volunteers), the location (good access from the station, the supermarket, and beautiful temple) and finally the work hours (You have to work 6 days a week, with sometimes shift at night, but in general you work between 2 and 3h per day). Thank you for having me 🄰

I stayed for 1,5 months and it was lovely! The staff was super nice and we were hanging out a lot. In Asakusa are in general many events so it's a nice location overall. The guesthouse has a staff room for 6 people, but it was never noisy. The tasks were clear and very easy. It's a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Probably one of the best experiences!

My stay at the hostel was very enjoyable! The manager is really nice and helpful and made it possible for me to stay very last minute when my other volunteer placement fell through. The hostel is very central in Asakusa and close to the Ginza line. The staff dorm is adequate. The work for by fast and there are always other volunteers to hang out with :)

My stay was truly exceptional, thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by both the managers and fellow volunteers—it genuinely felt like home. The common living room was cozy and comfortable, and I loved spending time there. Tasks were simple and usually took around two hours, with the workload balancing out over time. The location, right in the heart of Asakusa, was perfect for exploring the hostel. I highly recommend this experience!

I had a great time at the hostel Guesthouse. The work hours were exactly as discussed (6 days a week/2-3 hours a day) and getting a day of were really easy and flexible. The task were light and easy (typical housekeeping/ cleaning) and the team great and welcoming. The guesthouse is located near the hostel Skytree, which gives you the opportunity to reach quite a few famous places on foot or train. Thank you for the amazing month!

Guesthouse the hostel was my first worldpackers experience, and I had an amazing time! Stayed for 2 months, the managers Fumi-san and Kei-san, and owners Keiko-san and Yutaka-san were all very nice people that accommodated to our needs, made sure we were comfortable and having fun. Work was easy and flexible to your plans if you give them enough notice. You can make a lot of friends just by sitting in the lounge and starting a conversation with co-helpers/guests - the people you meet is what made the experience unforgettable for sure, and would 100% recommend giving it a go :)

The location of the hostel is really perfect. You can take relaxed walks to the Skytree and the temple, and Ueno Park is also not far away. The hostel has a very cosy vibe and especially the kitchen/living room makes you feel at home. The tasks can be completed in a relaxed manner in three hours and if something doesn't work out, the communication with the manager is great.

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and the staff members as well as the managers were very welcoming and friendly. Everytime I had a question, about work, days off, and life in Japan in general, there was always someone who would take the time and help me out. The work was fine, consisting of cleaning, bed making and general housekeeping. Asakusa is also a great area, with the Sensoji-Temple and a lot of restaurants very close by.
