My stay was truly exceptional, thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by both the managers and fellow volunteers—it genuinely felt like home. The common living room was cozy and comfortable, and I loved spending time there. Tasks were simple and usually took around two hours, with the workload balancing out over time. The location, right in the heart of Asakusa, was perfect for exploring the hostel. I highly recommend this experience!

I had a great time at the hostel Guesthouse. The work hours were exactly as discussed (6 days a week/2-3 hours a day) and getting a day of were really easy and flexible. The task were light and easy (typical housekeeping/ cleaning) and the team great and welcoming. The guesthouse is located near the hostel Skytree, which gives you the opportunity to reach quite a few famous places on foot or train. Thank you for the amazing month!

Guesthouse the hostel was my first worldpackers experience, and I had an amazing time! Stayed for 2 months, the managers Fumi-san and Kei-san, and owners Keiko-san and Yutaka-san were all very nice people that accommodated to our needs, made sure we were comfortable and having fun. Work was easy and flexible to your plans if you give them enough notice. You can make a lot of friends just by sitting in the lounge and starting a conversation with co-helpers/guests - the people you meet is what made the experience unforgettable for sure, and would 100% recommend giving it a go :)

The location of the hostel is really perfect. You can take relaxed walks to the Skytree and the temple, and Ueno Park is also not far away. The hostel has a very cosy vibe and especially the kitchen/living room makes you feel at home. The tasks can be completed in a relaxed manner in three hours and if something doesn't work out, the communication with the manager is great.

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and the staff members as well as the managers were very welcoming and friendly. Everytime I had a question, about work, days off, and life in Japan in general, there was always someone who would take the time and help me out. The work was fine, consisting of cleaning, bed making and general housekeeping. Asakusa is also a great area, with the Sensoji-Temple and a lot of restaurants very close by.

I've really enjoyed my time at the hostel! The work environment was great! All my co- staff members and managers have been so nice and supportive. Everyone I have met here was super friendly. The daily tasks were very easy and we had enough time to explore once we finished. Also the location is great! If you want to explore Asakusa area, and stay in a friendly and inviting environment, I highly recommend applying here !

I loved the time I spent there! The location is awesome, right next to Asakusa, and very close to everything you might need, like subway stations. The hostel is good, although the staff room is a bit small. The work is easy, mainly making beds and cleaning, depending on the schedule. You'll have enough free time to explore. It's a great place to make friends, and I'll always cherish the memories, from eating together and walking around to going to karaoke and celebrating birthdays.

Everyone's experience may differ, but I found the host manager to be rather inefficient. In general, the other members and staff lacked basic hygiene awareness and didn't have proper cleaning tools. The bathroom often smelled strongly of urine, and instead of using disposable towels, there were various types of reusable towels scatters around. After cleaning, I honestly didn't feel comfortable using the bathroom myself. Since it a budget accommodation, it's best to go without high expectations. Volunteer team experiences can vary depending on the timing and who's on the team at the time.

Stayed here for a bit less then a month and enjoyed it! The location is great the team was nice as well, Fumi does his best to make you feel welcome. There's a staffroom so it's nice to have your own space. The work tasks change everyday so if there are 5 volunteers it's easy work. With less volunteers it does take quite some time.
