The experience

We are a large animal rescue in County Kildare who always need willing helpers.

There’s a very good bus service to Dublin and other parts of the country if you want to explore on your days off.

The rescue organisation is very busy and full of energy, we regularly have emergencies to attend and new animals arriving constantly, visits to the veterinary hospital, and sometimes have to deal with severe cases of neglect.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift

Work 5 hours a day 5 days a week.
From 9.30am until 1.30pm and the 3.30pm until 4.30pm

What You’ll Do:
🐾 Assist with daily tasks at the rescue center, from feeding and caring for animals to helping with veterinary visits.
🚨 Support during emergencies and help new arrivals settle in, often animals in urgent need of care.
💔 Contribute to rehabilitating animals who have experienced neglect and hardship.
