We are a small, welcoming place in Malta, known for providing a cozy and friendly environment for travelers from around the globe. You will be helping us in cleaning and simple DIY at at Airport, Gozo and Gzira
What you offer

Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish
Between 23 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hostel Cleaner. You will play a key role in ensuring that the hostel is kept spotless and inviting, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Locations:
Sliema: A 7-bed hostel in a vibrant, touristy area.
Gozo: A 3-bedroom Bed and Breakfast with a pool, catering to trekkers and social responsibility programs.
Airport: A 5-bedroom location with a chill area, bicycle, and desk. helpers sleep in 2 private rooms floors level 2 and level 3. ( Maximum 4 helpers )
Duration:
Helpers will be assigned to one location for 1 month before rotating to another.
Placements can be adjusted based on your preferences and circumstances (e.g., school commitments).
Scheduling:
Typical work hours: 20 hours per week, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with 2 days off per week.
Helpers will coordinate schedules with one another.
Responsibilities
Primary Tasks:
Cleaning, occasional cooking, painting, or simple DIY tasks.
Expectations:
Be proactive and flexible in solving issues that may arise.
Work collaboratively with other helpers to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
Benefits
Allowance:
We pay you €100 per month for breakfast expenses and 20 Euros for bonus (€120 total).
Activities & Shift

Clean and maintain common areas, including lounges, kitchens, and bathrooms, to the highest standard.
Tidy up dormitory and private rooms after guest checkouts (e.g., making beds, vacuuming, dusting).
Refill amenities such as soap, toilet paper, and towels.
Manage waste disposal and recycling.
Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and inform the team when stocks are low.
Assist in light maintenance tasks if required.
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Rules
General Conduct:
Punctuality: Arrive on time for your assigned shifts and inform management in advance if you’re unable to attend.
Professionalism: Maintain a friendly and respectful attitude towards guests, staff, and fellow volunteers.
Appearance: Wear appropriate attire (comfortable, clean clothing suitable for cleaning tasks).
Cleaning Standards:
Thoroughness: Clean all assigned areas with attention to detail, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and hygienic.
Consistency: Follow the cleaning checklist provided for each area (e.g., dormitories, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.).
Guest Belongings: Do not disturb or move guests’ personal items unnecessarily while cleaning shared spaces.
