Train as Nature Guide in Austria
The experience
We divide our work time between nature and office and help schools to connect their classrooms with the outdoors.
Outdoor activities:
- supporting nature guides, mapping old trees and other POIs
- possibly leading outdoor activities (once you have completed the nature guide training)
- assisting in the design of new activities.
Office activities:
- activity design and improvement
- social media
- translation
What you offer
32 hours of help per week
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Arts:
Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Dedicated Workspace:
Specific space for you to work remotely
Requirements
Fluent English or Beginner German
Between 18 and 35 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)
What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift
Since we work outdoors, the time schedule tends to change each week.
The core schedule is: Monday-Friday from 10am to 4pm
Depending on the weather conditions or on the schedule we decided with the schools, days and times could vary.
