Highly recommend coming to the hostel if you're looking for an incredible volunteer experience. The staff and other volunteers were so kind and welcoming, the work was varied and straightforward, and the location is perfect to explore the area or take trips to surrounding places – Minca, Inca Inca, Tayrona, etc. Every day was filled with a new experience!

I would absolutely recommend the hostel to any volunteer! Eduardo, the other volunteers, and the staff are extremely welcoming; the work is fair and varied; it's a great opportunity to practice your Spanish, etc. Also, the location is central and the hostel itself is beautiful. All around a fantastic experience!

I felt welcomed from the very first moment. The host is very impartial and honest, and all the staff are warm and good people. The place is chill, you really feel at home. I experienced great moments at the beach with other volunteers, and I also had the opportunity to stay at another hostel that República has a partnership with. I love the sea, and the hostel offers many activities in nature. Without a doubt, I will come back.

My first volunteering experience at República Hostel the hostel was incredible and went far beyond my expectations. From the very first day, the staff, volunteers, and even the guests made me feel at home, like part of a family.During my stay I helped with reception, kitchen, and bar duties, always in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. the hostel itself is a paradise, filled with countless outdoor activities to enjoy. I 100%recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone looking for an authentic, enriching experience. It left me with amazing memories and desire to come back.

I had a great time at the hostel. The Staff was super nice and helpful and I was able to make great friendships with the other volunteers. However, I do recommend knowing some Spanish there because that helped me a lot there. Work was nice and I was able to explore the surroundings of the hostel which was wonderful. I recommend it for sure!

República Hostel in the hostel is a beautiful place to volunteer at. The staff are very nice and the work isn't too complicated. Sometimes the schedule might seem a bit rough, but if you simply voice your concerns you will see that Eduardo is very flexible. I really loved the other volunteers I was working with and made some great friends! In general, it's a hostel were many backpackers come to which makes it easy to meet new people and make friends! Unfortunately though, as a woman, I didn't feel safe in the city which is why I had to cut my volunteering short.

Staying at República Hostels was an amazing experience and I had the best time! This is my second time coming back to volunteer at República and I absolutely loved my time in Cartagena. Everyone on the team and Roger, the volunteer manager are very welcoming and will immediately integrate you. The workload and tasks are pretty easy to follow and you have quite some free time to explore Cartagena. I learned new tasks , like making cocktails while working at the bar this time which I appreciate. Overall, I 100% recommend this experience!

Everyone was very welcoming in the hostel and the hostel is very beautiful! Despite a total lack of information and guidance at the beginning of my stay, the energy with the other volunteers made my stay here unforgettable. The problems that we faced in the kitchen work due to a lack of organization and kitchen leader were quickly fixed by Julián when I discussed this with him. I hope this hostel continues to grow and improve experiences for volunteers like I felt it did during my 2 week stay! This is a very social hostel and I felt very respected by all the staff thank you!!!
