I felt welcomed from the very first moment. The host is very impartial and honest, and all the staff are warm and good people. The place is chill, you really feel at home. I experienced great moments at the beach with other volunteers, and I also had the opportunity to stay at another hostel that República has a partnership with. I love the sea, and the hostel offers many activities in nature. Without a doubt, I will come back.

My first volunteering experience at República Hostel the hostel was incredible and went far beyond my expectations. From the very first day, the staff, volunteers, and even the guests made me feel at home, like part of a family.During my stay I helped with reception, kitchen, and bar duties, always in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. the hostel itself is a paradise, filled with countless outdoor activities to enjoy. I 100%recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone looking for an authentic, enriching experience. It left me with amazing memories and desire to come back.

I had a great time at the hostel. The Staff was super nice and helpful and I was able to make great friendships with the other volunteers. However, I do recommend knowing some Spanish there because that helped me a lot there. Work was nice and I was able to explore the surroundings of the hostel which was wonderful. I recommend it for sure!

This was my first volunteer experience and was amazing, the hostel is in a privileged location that will all you to see everything around the city, They complied with everything agreed to the letter and offer very good benefits, the staff and the other volunteers were also amazing here you will find awesome vibes, I would definitely would like to come back at another time

Staying at República Hostels was an amazing experience and I had the best time! This is my second time coming back to volunteer at República and I absolutely loved my time in Cartagena. Everyone on the team and Roger, the volunteer manager are very welcoming and will immediately integrate you. The workload and tasks are pretty easy to follow and you have quite some free time to explore Cartagena. I learned new tasks , like making cocktails while working at the bar this time which I appreciate. Overall, I 100% recommend this experience!

Everyone was very welcoming in the hostel and the hostel is very beautiful! Despite a total lack of information and guidance at the beginning of my stay, the energy with the other volunteers made my stay here unforgettable. The problems that we faced in the kitchen work due to a lack of organization and kitchen leader were quickly fixed by Julián when I discussed this with him. I hope this hostel continues to grow and improve experiences for volunteers like I felt it did during my 2 week stay! This is a very social hostel and I felt very respected by all the staff thank you!!!

It was a good experience. The south was so lovely. Can you get to know a lot of people most of all are from Colombia but you can find those tourist so you can practice both English and Spanish.

A really chilled out hostel with a nice pool and space to hang out in. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Location is great, just a minute from the beach and has everything you need nearby.

I loved being a part of the hostel team! The second I arrived (karaoke night, party!), I felt so welcomed and loved by everyone. It was amazing for my Spanish practice because most of the staff didn't speak English and were very patient with me. Natalia was always very flexible with my schedule. She made sure I was able to go to Barranquilla for Carnaval. There are a lot of hours, but you will enjoy your time working amongst friends in such a beautiful, chill environment. Give them a giant beso from me!
