Would easily recommend to anyone!! The only caveat is I definitely suggest you speak at least an upper conversational level of Spanish. You can get by with less - BUT you'll miss out on a lot of connection with the boss, Nico, and the rest of the people. There's a serious family vibe, the hostel team and everyone associated with the hostel are all so so incredibly welcoming. Actual volunteer tasks are easy and well-structured. Instructions are clear. If you want a very social, very familial vibe - and you yourself are social, friendly, and welcoming — you'll love it. 10/10.

I was volunteering at the hostel as a Bartender for around one month and my experience was incredible. Nicho the host was extremely kind with clear instructions on how he wanted the bar/hostel run which is amazing. The daily salsa lessons, the maintenance of the hostel and the community within the hostel between staff was all top notch. If you're wanting a great time while learning about Cali and its culture dont look anywhere else. Thanks for the experience.

I really enjoyed my time volunteering here! The hostel is nice and comfortable, and it is located in a great area. The tasks for the reception role are easy, and you are given plenty of free time to explore the city. Nico is a great boss- he's very easy-going, flexible, and really appreciates his staff and volunteers. I felt comfortable and welcomed here immediately upon arrival, and I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay to 2 months. Thank you Nico for the opportunity. Until next time!

Volunteering at the hostel in Cali was such an amazing experience! From day one it felt like being part of a family – both guests and volunteers hang out and da lot of things together, which makes the vibe super special. The work conditions are really good, hours are fair, and the tasks are always clear thanks to the host's great communication. I felt comfortable all the time, made so many new friends, and truly enjoyed the nice environment. Honestly, nobody can say no to Cali – it's the place to be!

What a great experience! I fell in love with Cali and the hostel during my 1 month volunteering. The family vibes at the hostel made it feel like home. It's located in a great area which is quiet enough to relax and work but also social enough to meet people from around the world. The volunteering exchange was fantastic: from the free breakfast to free/discounted tours, working with Nico and the team was a pleasure. Everybody who comes to the hostel wants to stay or volunteer there, and many people extend their stay for weeks. I couldn't recommend it enough :) Thank you for everything! Good vibes <3

I had a really great month at the hostel. The facilities are great and the beds are comfortable. The atmosphere is really nice and there's a lovely social atmosphere in the hostal. I think the volunteers would appreciate the volunteer dorm door to be fixed so it doesn't make so much noise which would help the volunteers catch up on sleep around their shifts. Overall this was a really nice place to have my first Worldpackers experience and I met lots of wonderful people

What an amazing experience. I would highly recommend volunteering here if you have the opportunity. The hours and work expectations were agreed upon beforehand and were very well-respected. This hostel is probably my favorite I have ever stayed in. It's super easy to connect with the other volunteers and travelers and to make lasting friendships. As well, I've been able to practice my Spanish with the other volunteers and guests at the hostel. Muchisimas gracias a Nico y Angelica por la oportunidad!

I had such an incredible time volunteering at the hostel, working at the bar! What I loved the most was their amazing organization and they really make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome. The professionalism of the team is top-notch, and it truly makes a difference. Nico has created a wonderful, family-friendly atmosphere where we all felt at home. The bar tasks were super easy, and I loved having the freedom to organize my own nights—it really allows you to create the vibe you want! The hostel was the best volunteering I have done so far, I used to stay a month and ended up being so much longer cause it's a vibe ! After traveling long term Angelica, Nico, Janet, the dance professors and the other volunteers gave me a feeling of family and home, I fell in love with the hostel, they support you,help you , make events and dance together. I'm tearing up writing a review cause it means it's the end , that much I love it here. Everyone who enters the hostel leaves with amazing memories, so definitely really recommended. Specially if you like dancing, you will have such a great time ❤️❤️❤️

The month I stayed here was slow in terms of reservations from guests but nonetheless the ones that I did meet were so nice and created nice memories together. The overall vibe of the hostel is great and the location is perfect because there are so many essentials within walking distance ( Rx, Grocery, ATM/Banks, Restaurants). The staff here are so kind and really fun to be around, they become your friends so easily as well with the other volunteers. I am great full to have had this opportunity at the hostel and I really want to come back soon!
