The project is a magic experience! You will learn about permaculture, building and repairing in the nature and the house and formost this is a place to heal and grow. The surrounding nature (with private waterfall) and the beautiful permaculture garden allow to fully endulge in nature. The wonderful people that live and come here made this volunteering stay a very special and enriching experience for me! I can highly recommend this to everyone who loves nature, good people and is open to grow :)

I had a transformative 2 weeks at the project! You become fully immersed in the nature while eating the healthiest most colorful foods. Quickly felt like a little family. Best parts were the nightly sunset meditations, Bengal & India (the cat & dog), and the magical secluded waterfall. A great place to unplug from social media and plug into yourself. Grateful for this experience <3

Volunteering at the project is such a magical and grounding experience! You're fully immersed in nature, living a slow and simple life with a small, tight-knit group. Everyone helps each other out, and you get to contribute to an amazing retreat space while still having plenty of personal time for whatever your heart desires—whether it's art, reading, yoga, hikes, or just relaxing. The main tasks are in the kitchen (cooking and washing dishes) but there are also other things to do like maintenance, farming and painting. Read the instructions carefully so you're prepared for off-grid living. <3

My experience at the project exceeded all of my expectations! The farm is truly beautiful and completely immersed in nature- I so enjoyed swimming in the waterfall, meditating by the guanacaste tree, and stargazing on clear nights. I immediately felt welcomed by Guillermo and the other long term volunteers Alicia and Javier, by the end of the two weeks they felt like family. I learned so much about permaculture, sustainability, local culture, and spirituality. This was my first volunteer experience and I would highly recommend it!! (Bonus were India and Bengal, the adorable dog and cat!)

I had a fantastic time at the project as a first-time volunteer. Manuela and Guillermo warmly welcomed me and made me feel at home. The cozy cabin, with its comfortable beds and mosquito nets, was perfect, and I enjoyed the project shower. The private waterfall was breathtaking. Be sure to bring long socks, and wide trousers. Weekly visits to the local farmer's market were a highlight. I gained valuable knowledge about permaculture, local food, and spirituality, and also sewed a curtain and designed signposts. I look forward to integrating their lifestyle into mine. I'll be back. Pura Vida🫶

The project was a life changing experience for me. It was my first time ever traveling alone and my first time doing world packers. Manuela and Guillermo made me feel safe and comfortable enough to challenge my beliefs. The accommodation is simple and beautiful, the waterfall is breathtaking, the entire experience was exactly what I needed. With that in mind, remember you are in the project and there will be bugs. More bugs than you have ever seen in your life. Bugs on bugs on bugs on bugs. I don't mind bugs and even I was a little challenged.

We’re delighted that you had a life-changing experience with us Katie!

Yes, there are bugs, especially during the rainy season, but they’re a vital part of our vibrant ecosystem. From colorful butterflies to fascinating beetles, they add to the magic of the jungle.

We invite our guests to embrace this unique aspect of nature. It can be challenging, but it also offers a special chance to connect deeply with the environment.

Thank you for being part of our jungle community and appreciating its wonders with us.

My stay at the project was more than I thought it would be. I have learned so much about living a permaculture life. Not only do you have the resources you need to live and survive, but you will brings nature back to its original, thriving state. Guillermo and Manuela are both wonderful, inviting and loving people who made me feel welcomed the moment I met them. They made my experience feel like…home. I felt like I was able to answer some inner questions I have been seeking through solitude, soothing sounds, and beautiful scenery. Thank you for an amazing first trip abroad! 🤍
