Rules

We require you to arrive on Monday by 11.30 Am. We can accept you on Tuesday but we prefer if you arrive on Monday.
We do not take on new people after Tuesday. Saturdays and Sundays we are closed.

We have a total of 16 places so there are always people coming and going.
You will enjoy meeting other travellers from all over the world.

There is a communal kitchen on the bottom floor of the pool building. You can cook for yourself, it's almost the same price as buying cooked food in the night market as buying ingredients in the morning fresh market. However. if you do cook, wash dishes and cooking pots IMMEDIATELY! NO STACKING DIRTY DISHES FOR LATER! ants, flies, all sorts of living things will invade the communal space if not cleaned.

Please keep shared spaces tidy and help us reduce waste by reusing materials and following eco-friendly practices. When you leave the residence, dress respectfully to honour the local cultures. Be open to new experiences and willing to learn from others. We value a sense of community, so work together and support each other. Prepare for tropical living.

**we are actively engaged in recycling, composting and reusing as much as
possible**
please assist us in keeping our carbon foot print as small as
possible! We do not have AC but we do have fans in every room and a beautiful ocean breeze.

**If you arrive late in the day you will be expected to make up the time by
adding an hour at the beginning or end of your first 3 days at Shankari
Artists Sanctuary.**
