I had an amazing time volunteering, and even extended for an extra week! Claudia is a great host and made everything so easy as it was my first time in that role! The hostel has great vibes and awesome staff which made the whole experience so much fun.

My stay at Tipsy the hostel was absolutely spectacular. From the very first day, I felt welcomed not just as a guest, but as part of a family. The staff, the manager, and the entire team create such a positive and supportive atmosphere that it's impossible not to feel at home. The work itself is fun, engaging, and full of variety — from helping to build a sense of community among international travelers to organizing events and simply socializing in such a lively environment. Every day felt meaningful and enjoyable. If you're considering coming here, don't hesitate. Would recommend 1000% :)

I can scarcely overstate how grateful I am for my time at the hostel. I came to the island in a weird, transitional phase of life. The three weeks I spent on Gilli T were, as it happened, an antidote for heartbreak. More than that, I was part of an incredible group of people; especially Claudia, whose sincere passion for the hostel brought out the best in us. The work itself was remarkably entertaining; as a social butterfly, I made short form content, spent my afternoons schmoozing with guests and hosted boat parties, luxe sunset cruises and experienced a lifestyle I couldn't normally afford.

Overall an incredible experience. Come prepared to work hard, play hard! You get to teach people from all over the world and live on a paradise island for three weeks. Don't let the thought of being in one place for that length of time put you off - it will fly by and gives you an opportunity to really ground and feel like a part of something. The team are lovely as are the people staying at the hostel - it's a social hostel and especially working the breakfast, you end up making lots of friends and having the most beautiful experiences like swimming with turtles!

It's been a few days since I left the hostel I still cant stop thinking about it.I started as a mural painter then moved to the afternoon social butterfly role which was pretty relaxed, you keep the common areas tidy, chat with guests, run a few activities, take photos and videos for content and sometimes help with errands. Its great if you enjoy being social, connecting with people and leading activities.Even when it wasnt my shift,I loved being in the hostel, joining activities and being with the guests.I had so much fun at the hostel! Thank you Lexy, Bren, and the boys for making it home for me!

Yoga teaching at the hostel has been one of the best volunteer experiences ever! I found the perfect balance between party and rest. Claudia is amazing, there is very clear communication and expectations and then the rest is up to you! All the staff at the hostel are also so lovely and always bring great vibes. On top of all of that, the hostel is stunning (finishing off the new pool/bar/yoga shala now!) and the volunteer house is sweet! You'll fall in love with the island! Thank you the hostel 🌟

I had the most magical two months volunteering at the hostel, the hostel its self are breathtaking, vibes unmatched. I had so much fun on the evening social host role, allowing me to interact, look after and make unforgettable memories with all the guests. The local staff and other volunteers truly feel like family after work so close to them for nearly two months. A special mention to lexy, the manager who goes out of her to make sure all volunteers, staff and guests alike are all looked after. She makes the whole experience even more enjoyable, can't wait to be back ❤️

I volunteered at the hostel for 3 weeks doing the evening role. In this position I quickly became close friends with fellow volunteers, staff, and management. The role requires a fully charged social battery, so relaxing and resting throughout the day is important . The volunteer house is okay, sometimes the water and aircon malfunctioned, but quickly resolved by staff. It's a very social hostel without the party, with activities every night. I highly recommend this opportunity if you're not avoid of have a laugh and a few cocktails. Thankyou Claudia (the host) for having me I enjoyed it!

One of the best experiences! From the “work” to the hostel itself, the amazing staff, Lexy, and the other volunteers, it was all magical! I fell in love with the hostel, the island and the people! Volunteers stay in a separate cabin from the guests, we got breakfast every morning and free family dinner 3 times a week (buffet of local food) and free drinks every day we worked. I volunteered as the mural painter and Lexy guided and supported me every step of the way. She was so encouraging and truly made me feel appreciated and valued as an artist. Terima kasih Lexy, Brenna, and all the boys!
