The experience

Come enjoy beautiful Phillip Island while helping us with some home gardening, painting or building tasks. This is our family home with lots of lawns to cut and weeding to do. Paint the house or some small building projects. You’ll have your own space staying in our caravan within our yard and the chance to explore amazing Phillip Island. Close to 4 supermarkets but with a rural feel. We have a small dog too.

What you offer

3 hours of help per day

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Program Details

This is our private home in Cowes, Phillip Island. We are all busy with work, study and volunteering (community, Scouts, church, elderly etc.). We struggle to find time and energy to complete the care of the outside of the home and surrounds and have a lovely area to share in the hopes to take some of the work off our plates so we can keep doing what we love.

Activities & Shift

You'll be left to work out your own schedule but I specifically need someone with experience using power garden equipment. There is lots of grass cutting and edging as well as a good deal of timber to be cut with a chainsaw. Alternatively I would consider someone with some building skills or willing to paint walls or pull weeds, and walk our small, much loved dog.

Rules

No smoking/vaping, no loud noise late at night, no visitors. Max of two people. Definitely no drugs. This is our family home. Clean and tidy people who respect other people's stuff and space. Happy with being mostly on your own.
