We stayed at the home's home for a week, that was filled with peacefulness, exploration of surrounding towns, temples, nature and a the home factory as well. Even though the weather was sometimes challenging and there wasn't that much work to do, the home always came up with an idea or a plan, so we're never bored. We can't thank her enough for her hospitality, great cuisine and the introduction of Sri Lankan culture, agriculture and religion. Overall we had a great time and we can only recccomend this stay <3.

We had an amazing time with the home and her family, they were incredibly generous with their hospitality and in helping us to explore their local culture. The food they made for us was delicious and the room they gave us was very comfortable. We would love to come again one day just to see the home and Anoj, and to perhaps be able to help more with the harvesting.

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was amazing!!! the home and her family are such lovely and kind people. I had the chance to relax, explore the village and learn more about Sri Lanka culture. Not to mention the food…She is a very good cook and she was very respectful of my needs (since I don't eat spicy) trying to cook less spicy!! I wish I could have done more to repay them of all the affection and care they showed me!!!

Our days spent at Upekhsa's place were filled with tranquility and peace. She and her family are incredibly caring and kind hosts, always making us feel at ease during our stay. Time here flows slowly, marked by the sounds of the lush surrounding nature—a true paradise for those seeking serenity far from the city. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing our spirit and mind back to a place where the true values of life still prevail. Big hug Marco & Francesca

The home was very kind and welcoming, which made the stay pleasant. However, the living conditions could be improved - the room had some mold and the water was very cold. I was hoping for more farming and cultural activities, but most things we had to ask about ourselves. Hiking was fun, although it was about 2 hours away by bus. Overall, a nice experience but with room for improvement.

Carmen and I where very excited to know about their family and lands. Even the weather was not good enough, we tried to do some house work and we had a good time with the home. She is always so kind and wants to know if you really feel like family. There are a lot of positive things about this experience, but the one that i will remeber the most is the landcape. The Devon Fall was too much for me. Thank you for your help. I will always consider you as a family.

A lovely host, situated in a beautiful part of Sri Lanka. The experience is very relaxed, which is excellent if you are looking for a place to chill out and connect with nature. During our stay there were limited activities for us to undertake, which gave us the opportunity to hike through surrounding the home fields, visit Nuwara Eliya and unwind. However, we did struggle at times with the amount of free time! The activities during our stay included teaching English, helping at a local vegetation plant and general chores around the house.

The home is really welcoming and easy to communicate with, and she does a lot of good work within the community. Toddyland is amongst nature and we went for some lovely walks through the home plantations, went out for a day in Nuwara Eliya, taught English and helped with some gardening. It's a great place to chill, there isn't much work and we did struggle with the amount of free time as there's not much in walking distance - however if you are looking to have some “you” time whilst living in a local Sri Lankan house then this is for you! We will miss Leo especially - he was the sweetest dog!

So much to say but I'll try my best to resume my journey in this lovely family. Since the first day I've arrived I felt so welcomed. the home, Anoj and his parents are simply amazing. They are always there for you and make sure that you always have everything you need. The work is not too hard depending on what needs to be done around the house and the hours are well respected. When not working you can take some free time, go explore the area or play with the dogs :) the home and Anoj took me to explore view points, and we did some night camping. I had the best experience ever. Big love, timy<3

We loved our stay! It was very relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle and just overall peaceful and beautiful! We were able to visit a Buddhist temple, some waterfalls, vegetable garden, plant a coconut tree, pull some weeds, dry some coffee beans, harvested bananas, learned some new recipes, saw herbal medicine being used, and got to stay with the sweetest family! This sounds like ALOT but trust me it is very relaxing and chill volunteer opportunity! The host are VERY flexible and the activities/ duties depend on the weather. This is more of a cultural exchange vs work! 10/10
