My experience at the hostel was great! The work is easy and very manageable. Everyone was very nice and chill. Ive had alot of time to explore the island with friends I made at the hostel. The facilities were great and the room was nice. Dont forget to bring your earplugs though! 11 people in one room can be loud hahah. I Would definitely recommend going here. Especially if you like the sun and sea:)

The hostel was a goodsurprise for me, I met amazing people and made connections I didn't expect! I worked in the apartments that are part of their network of hostels and apartments, and the work was super chill. We were always free to go once everything was finished (many times we even ended our shift early). Julieta, the manager, is amazing and always ready to help. The island is a beautiful place with so much to see and explore. If you enjoy nature, the sea, or just going out to eat, drink, and meet new people, then it's the perfect place for you. I'll definitely miss it and hope to come back

My experience at the hostel was amazing — I had the best time there! I met so many wonderful people, both volunteers and guests from all over the world. The tasks were easy, mostly housekeeping, and the shifts were good, with three free days a week and plenty of time to explore the island and all its beauty. I would 100% recommend this experience — I already miss it!

I loved my experienced as a volunteer in Gran Canaria!! I was in Compass House and I'm really grateful for every moment I spent there. It was my first volunteering and first stay in an hostel, it was really easy. In less than a week, I felt at home. I also made real friendships like I would never had imagined. The manager, Elisa, is so kind and understanding. I had so much fun while working with everyone. Now my expectations for a hostel are really high. I recommend it a lot!

My time in Gran Canaria was truly memorable! Volunteering there has been full of fun andnew friends, with volunteers and guests as well. The work has been better than I expected, after practising doing pancakes during the morning shift I am finally an amazing chef! I'm glad for all the people that I met and the experiences that are coming home with me. Looking forward to go back there ✨

The best experience so far! The vibe of the hostel is super chill and welcoming, always positive and with lots of laughs included! The work is fair and well-organized and you have a lot of time to explore the island or just relax on the magical the hostel. You are always in good company and lot of fancy activities are organised during the week! It was an authentic and heartfelt experience with amazing people! Already missing this place.

I really had the best time! I loved the Island, the hostel, the area and of course all the awesome people I met. The working hours were always respected and the work is easy to manage. You da little bit of everything which I think is quite nice because it doesn't get boring. Mostly it's housekeeping and cleaning but you also work at the reception, at the bar, and do pancakes in the morning or organise a family dinner or activity. You have to keep in mind that you live with 11 people together so it gets messy at times, but in the end it depends on the people staying there how clean it is.

I had an amazing time at the hostel, making lasting friendships with volunteers and guests. I worked in the apartments team, cleaning from 10am to about 1pm (mon and tues off), which left plenty of time for the beach, hikes, and exploring. The volunteer room is shared with around 10 people—tight but manageable if everyone is respectful and it's kept clean. There is a bug issue, though staff are actively addressing it. I picked up valuable skills and highly recommend the experience!!!

I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. I met the nicest volunteers and guests and I always had someone to do activities or trips with. The area of the hostel is pretty and the 30 minute way to the beach by bus is not too bad. The work was easy and fair. A few things you should expect when coming here: cookroaches in the kitchen, cleaning bedbug stuff if rooms are affected and living with 11 other volunteers in a relatively small room. Aside from that I can just recommend this experience since I don't want to miss this place any longer and would gladly come back in the future!

I spent a month volunteering at Colombus Hostel Gran Canaria and it was a great experience! I worked on the apartment cleaning team: I had to do simple tasks that only took a few hours a day, leaving plenty of time to explore even if the team's organization wasn't always perfect. Gran Canaria has so much to offer from beaches and hikes to nice villages and nightlife. One thing to know is that we share a room with about 11 volonteers which can feel overwhelming at first, but with mutual respect, it's easy to feel at home. Plus the social atmosphere makes the experience thin and memorable! :)
