The hostel will always have a piece of my heart. I felt at home, Ezequiel is an amazing manager, the team of volunteers is big, cohesive and collaborative. I met so many people all around the world, could surf and do yoga for free, party but also relax when needed. Most of all, I created connections I will forever be grateful of. It was my first experience as a worldpackers and I couldn't have made a better choice. Hasta luego ❤️

I had an incredible experience at the hostel, it very quickly began to feel like home. The work was fair - exactly as described, and very well organised. The hostel itself is so cosy and has much more of a homely atmosphere than other hostels you'd typically find in Spain. Ezequiel goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. The location is ideal, everything you need is within a 10 min walking distance (supermarket, beaches, parks). Overall amazing experience.

I spent two months as a volunteer, working in reception and cleaning, and I wholeheartedly recommend this experience. the hostel is beautiful, well-kept, and has a warm, modern vibe. The working hours are balanced and well organized, and the tasks are easy to learn. What I loved the most, however, is the atmosphere inside the hostel: I felt welcome from day one. The manager is always approachable and makes sure everyone has an unforgettable experience. I met wonderful people who will always have a special place in my heart. 🤍 Thank you, the hostel! 🙌🏼

My experience at the hostel in Gijón was fantastic. I had an amazing time with the other volunteers and guests, and the city itself is really cool. It's the perfect place if you want to surf, relax, have fun, and improve your language skills (especially Spanish). The management deserves a special mention—congratulations to the manager for running everything so smoothly. The tasks were clearly explained, easy to follow, and the working hours were always respected. Overall, it was a super fun and rewarding experience that I'd highly recommend!

I had a great month at the hostel! The team was amazing and the tasks were fair as agreed beforehand. Ezequiel the manager puts a lot of effort to make everyone feel comfortable. I think it's a very good deal getting surf classes and material for free. With the bikes you can explore the beautiful coastline around Gijón.

Shout out to the manager, Ezequiel and the other volunteers for the best team experience in Gijón.❤️The beautiful NSH felt like home from the very first day. The center is easily accessible by bike, buses or on foot. The house offers plenty of equipments for surfing, however it may feel a long walk till the beach carrying the boards - if one doesn't want to do that, it's possible to join the surf classes for free located on the beach: contact person for the classes is super responsive and flexible with the hours. All in all great way to practice English-Spanish and have a chill and fun time.

This is my first volunteering, I'm so grateful to be part of the team❤️ We are 8 volunteers, manager and everyone is amazing. Working time is very reasonable. Details and schedule are well written and planned. All the volunteers live in a same room with bunk beds, and everyone has enough space to store the stuff. We have co-working space, game room, terrace and kitchen. It's about 15 mins walks from the beach and 30 mins from the city center. BUT!!! there are bikes you can use. I enjoyed so much the free surfing lessons and the events for the guests. I love NSH🫶🏻 I really miss the time there…

I had an incredible time here at the hostel :) The location is fantastic - incredibly close to both the beach and multiple supermarkets! You're provided with ample opportunities to surf, either with boards from the hostel or with classes hosted by the affiliated surf school! The amenities in the house are modern and well maintained, the beds are comfortable, and I feel the hostel attracts people with great energy. The tasks are simple and made even easier by the detailed checklist. Ezequiel is very organised, always positive, and did a great job supporting the team of volunteers. 💙

Absolutely loved my experience at the NSH! Ezequiel is an awesome, very understanding host with very good energy :) The team experience was fun & we got to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Asturias and learn how to surf!! Shifts are easy and if you have any questions, there is always someone around you to help :D Would recommend to any first time or experienced volunteers & would love to be back!
