We had a good time working in the hostel, since the tasks are pretty easy and the shifts not too long. polina and massimo are both really nice people and were always contactable. however, lots of stuff in the hostel wasn't working properly. there were complaints by the guests almost daily about the ac, the wifi, the electricity and other things not working and we were often told to just turn it off and back on, which didn't solve the original problem. if you're able to handle situations like these well, the hostel's a great choice to get to know palermo and gain some work experience.

My experience in the hostel was great, I met many people from other places and cultures, it helped me a lot to socialize. Polina is the best, always positive and helps with any questions you have. I recommend it for first volunteer experience.

I had a really great time at the hostel! Polina is super welcoming and the people at the hostel were awesome. It is in the middle of the City and close to the beach and train station which is really convenient. Overall I would reccomend this experience, thanks Polina for a great time :)

My first experience as a volunteer and it was a nice one. I learned a lot while working in this hostel. The work is easy but if you have any doubts Polina is always there to help you. The hostel is in a perfect location, so you can walk almost everywhere and have fun on the entertaining streets of Palermo. Nice people and experiences. Piacere Polina

I loved it here! The work was minimal and independent and I met so many people from around the world. There's a great social atmosphere at the hostel, a lot of it facilitated by the staff. Perfect location, the facilities could use an update but nothing too bad. Polina is a great manager. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a laidback but lively time. I had a fantastic time at the hostel, the manager Polina was so nice and welcoming. The hostel itself is in a perfect location in Palermo, 2 minutes from the central station and 5 minutes from the chaotic nightlife. The duties were split between reception and cleaning, and there were enough volunteers there to allow flexibility with the shifts. Overall the work was not too demanding and Polina was always available to answer any questions when needed. The highlight for me was the other volunteers at the hostel, it was a great atmosphere and I'd absolutely recommend it.

This was such a great experience and I only regret not planning on staying longer! Polina the host is so lovely and looks after all her volunteers. She is very relaxed and flexible with shifts so you can do trips all over the island. The hostel is nice and well located. Palermo itself is very diverse so you get to meet lots of guests from all over the world. I totally recommend this to anyone who loves travel and meeting interesting people!

Overall, I absolutely loved the hostel! The volunteers were amazing, Polina was so nice and flexible and very responsive! I had so much fun hanging out at the hostel, seeing Palermo, and even doing the actual work! The work was also very easy and simple. About the hostel, I will say that the oven didn't work, neither did the laundry. There was no breakfast. Instead we were give money to get breakfast and do laundry. But that wasn't too bad. I would definitely love to come back again!!!<3 If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!!!
