At the beginning i was very overwhelmed by this city but Hung and the volunteers made me feel very welcomed and safe. You can't expect a luxurious apartment but definitely a great time with the volunteers and students. It takes time to plan the classes and sometimes we had to work a lot but it was so much fun to teach the little kids and to play with them. We also did some nice hikes and trips on the weekend and i really got to see the beautiful nature and culture of Vietnam. I am so grateful for this experience and plan to do something like this again!

I loved my time at the school, it's an experience I would recommend. Mr. Hung is a funny and sociable man and, although he's very busy, I appreciated his efforts to try and meet our needs and organise activities for us. In my experience, the schedule was always respected and didn't exceed the required amount of hours, and left me some time in the afternoon to explore the city centre. The kids were wonderful, super sweet and they will always have a place in my heart! Thanks so much to them, to Mr. Hung and to all of my fellow volunteers who made my experience so special!!! Love you all💛

I am glad of the experience. I had such a wonderful time :) Having had the same kids for multiple weeks, I got to know them. They were wonderful!! Overall, I am going home with only happy memories, the volunteers were amazing and the environment in the apartment super friendly. Have not really much to say, wish I could have spent more time with everybody and thanks to Hung for organizing the trips during the weekend :)

This was my first Worldpackers experience. I stayed for four weeks and taught mostly middle-school-aged kids. I was unsure how things would go at first, but boy did they turn out well. The other volunteers were amazing and the host (Hung) was very friendly and easy to work with. I looked forward most days to getting to class and teaching the kids. The location is great too - far enough from touristy stuff that you feel like you're living alongside the locals, but close enough that you can dip into the city center for some fun exploring. I do recommend this experience!!

I enjoyed my time in Hanoi so much that I extended my stay for an extra month. Teaching English at the school, though initially daunting, turned into a rewarding experience. The flexible hours, dinner parties, and weekend activities were a definite plus, but the best part was making friends with locals and international travelers. While there's room for improvement in communication and accommodations, my time with the school was a great introduction to Worldpackers, and I couldn't have asked for a better start.

I really liked this volunteering experience. Teaching felt rewarding and volunteers were cool. There were some small issues as vegetarian food or more hours than promised but once communicated, those issues were solved. Thanks Hung for being flexible. The house is around 40 min from central with taxi or bus, so if you are party person, I do not know if it will work for you. I liked living in that district because of locals and cheaper prices.

I reeeally enjoyed my stay here :) Everyone is so fun and I met so many amazing people there. The work with the children/adults, teaching them english was also really fun, the working schedule was really good for me. (normally only one or two hours of work in the evening). the only thing is that the mattresses were really thin haha. I would definitely recommend the stay, it felt like a second home to me and I will miss everyone soo muuuch:(

Loved my time at the school!! hung and the team really made me feel at home from the very first day! the work is chill and hours are respected, they're also very flexible if anything comes up which is always a plus the flat is about 30 minutes by bike from the old quarter of hanoi so during free time is also really easy to enjoy the city! miss everyone already xx

I had a lovely time at the school! I had children and adult classes. Teaching the children was the best! I loved creating a bond with them even if they were a bit chaotic at times! My adult class was nice and simple as they already spoke a good amount of English. Hung was a great host, he always helps if you need anything and he's a good laugh (especially with happy water). Living with the other volunteers was amazing, I have made friends for life!! They really make the experience perfect! I also really recommend weekend trips to sapa etc, which Hung helps to organise! :)
