About the experience in: Gianyar, Indonesia
Netherlands
The host, Made, together with his wife, Ayu, and baby, Amy, made me feel welcome from day one. Initially I came to teach local (special needs) children basic English. It was clear the children were eager to learn and were not scared to interact with me. What also became apparent is that the host had many side projectst that required help and new insights. The host, Made, is ambitious and wants to expand on the permaculture garden, volunteer lodge, animal habitats and more. Although 4 days of volunteering was too short, to help on all projects. He welcomes all ideas and input.
