Loved my stay at the hostel! Such a great place to live and work if you're looking to chill and experience the Agnes time. Hostel is absolutely immaculate and everyone is super friendly :)

The hostel was a home in beautiful Agnes Water. The hostel is super well located and has a few beaches walking distance and also lots of nature and wildlife around. If you are looking for a stress free place to stay this would be it. The tasks at the hostel are easy and there's always someone around to show you how to do things. I would recommend this hostel for anyone who's committed to work and help around and not only have a free place to sleep. Scott (the manager) has the biggest heart and he was always straightforward. I loved being part of the Coolbananas family!

I really loved my experience at the hostel in Agnes Water. It felt like home and the people were my family. Working 2h a day for accommodation is the easiest ever, mostly just cleaning different areas. I absolutely loved being dressed as a Banana and picking up the people from the bus with disco lights and music blasting! I would definitely recommend doing work for accommodation at the hostel🥰🫶🏻

We loved every second of staying at the hostel!!! the work was totally manageable (you get assigned a task a day from a rota and they each take 2 hours) and left lots of time to explore Agnes water. Agnes is really gorgeous and even though it's a small town, there's lots to do (beaches, surfing, hikes) and we weren't bored once in the 3 weeks we were there. The other staff were so lovely and friendly and the hostel is really social. We were absolutely gutted to leave and could have stayed for longer! Absolutely recommend this to anyone :))

The hostel was such a nice hostel to stay for WFA for 2 weeks. Almost every day the work was different - it's either in the morning, midday, afternoon or evening and could be cleaning common rooms, dorms, bathroom or kitchen. Agnes Water is a small town with lots of things to do: surfing, coastal walkings, a bit shopping or just relaxing in a hammock at the hostel. During my stay were also some other workers there & we shared a 8 bed dorm & had a good time together.

I met so many great friends through this experience, all the other volunteers made my time at the hostel really great. Personally I didn't have any problems with the owner, however during my stay two volunteers left because of him so this could be something to be aware of.

My experience at this hostel was not bad, all around. The work schedule is very reasonable and the tasks are not hard. Also I had a great time with the other volunteers and the social atmosphere between us all was fun and friendly. That being said, I found the boss a very hard person to be around. His unpredictable moods and aggressive behaviour towards both guests and volunteers made me uncomfortable. In the end I left early as I could no longer deal with his overbearing negative presence and the feeling of constantly being watched.

I'd say I'm very predictable Jason yes, I do get cranky when people steal from me or my guest and staff or when people sneak friends in to sleep for free also, I am very aware of my surroundings no need to watch I just know when a job hasn't been done.

The hostel is a really great hostel and the perfect place to relax for a while. The work is easy and only 2 hours a day, which gives you plenty of time to go to the beach, read, surf, etc. Staff is welcoming and I really met some amazing people while working there. However, you don't get days off and management can be a little blunt if you don't meet their expectations towards the work that needs to be done. I would still recommend working for accommodation there as my overall experience was positive :)

I spend 5 beautiful weeks at the hostel. All the people there made this place feel like home in no time <3 Good balance between chill vibes on weekdays and party vibes on the weekends. The work really is doable. I had 3 offdays in my 38days total. If the management likes you, it's gonna be great, if not then your work will be highly criticised and watched.

hi, Jule, I'm disappointed you feel this way as I only ask for people to do the work agreed Apon i.e., 14 hrs. per week. it has nothing to do with if we like someone or not it's all about the work. 3 days off how many days did you do only 1 hrs. worth of work and sometimes even less? we do keep a diary of all these kinds of things.

Firstly, the boss is not a girl as pictured, it's an older man, very unhappy with my work. The way he approached this felt like bullying. Work for accommodation should never end up in tears. Another girl cried to me because she felt like there was nothing she could do to make him happy. I was told my best wasn't good enough, I won't make it far in life if this is how I work and I walk around like I'm stoned. He had a nice side but he changed fast. Never felt so alone as a solo traveller. Thankfully the workers supported me. Heard lots of bad stories about his temper. Totally unacceptable
