Get involved with farm life in Mid Wales 🌄🌿

The experience

The farm is a mixed livestock hill farm, we have sheep, cows and a few pigs. This is very much a new project so there's a lot of work underway converting infrastructure and putting new projects together with holistic regenerative systems in mind.

Daily tasks vary greatly on the season and the weather. Livestock work could include moving the sheep and cows onto the next paddock, or feeding the pigs. Every day is different.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 23 and 75 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Converting an upland sheep and beef farm into a regenerative holistic system. Producing nutrient dense food, education, and a place to connect with nature.

Activities & Shift

We will usually focus on the morning shift so volunteers can enjoy the afternoon as they please. However some days may be longer if there is a big job to do and the time can be taken back the following day or whenever suits.
