The experience

Short-Term House & Garden Help Wanted — 23 Jun – 6 Jul (Darwen Lancashire, North West UK)

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on person to help for two weeks with:

Harvesting veg & fruit, pruning shrubs/trees, weeding

Tidying the garden & moving a few storage boxes

General household chores and light cooking

Dates: Sunday 7th September - Thursday 18th September
Hours: Flexible (approx. 4–5 hrs per day)

What you offer

16 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

🌿 Work Exchange Opportunity in Beautiful Darwen, Lancashire (UK)
Short-term stay · Room, meals & countryside in exchange for project help

📍 Location: Darwen, East Lancashire, UK — a peaceful area surrounded by hills and nature, yet only 15 minutes’ walk to the train/bus station and town centre. Great links to Manchester, Bolton & Blackburn.

Support with general household chores and basic cooking

This opportunity is available only from 23rd June to 6th July.

Activities & Shift

4 hours a day four days a week with three days off. The hours can be done between the hours of 8am-8pm.
