This experience was great. I was afraid of traveling from London because could be so far from there but It is so simple to get the Karen's house. Only 1 bus to Manchester and from there train to Darwen. Super fast an easy. Karen was so welcoming person. She made me feel at home with a nice room, tasty and healty food furthermore nice chit-chat and company. Darwen and Lancashire gave me plenty of trekking trails and nature. so if you are someone that love all of these, it's perfect for you. Daily duties are nice and easy if you like gardening. Thanks Karen from the bottom of my heart!

Karen is a wonderful person and was patient with my English. I felt at home, I met some great friends of hers and I will definitely remember this experience forever. The food provided is healthy and you feel comfortable in the house. The work is simple, helping in the garden for a few hours a day and cleaning the kitchen. The town is small, the nearest station is a 20-minute walk from her house and a 40-minute train ride from Manchester Victoria. Everything was perfect, I will miss it. Thank you!
