My experience of never @ home was awesome. Working from the hiking/ tour side was super fun. My favorite thing was taking our guests on hikes, as you get to explore the beautiful nature of Capetown, and make connections with the guests. We always joked- Saying that Never @ Home should be called “Never Alone” because there is always somewhere there to go to the beach with, relax by the pool or just enjoy the city of Capetown. A social, lively hostel!!

My experience as a Volunteer in the Never at Home hostel it's been great. The hostel has a very nice atmosphere where you can meet other travelers, digital nomads, and even locals and south africans from other parts of the country. The location is great, between the beaches and the city. And the volunteering itself it's dynamic. I like to do hikes and other activities that involves me with the city, then was great to have the chance to work into it. I really recommend this place either to stay or volunteer.

Never at Home was my first volunteer experience, and I absolutely loved it. It defenitely enccouraged me to keep volunteering at hostels. Accommodations were great and kept clean. I had the opportunity to meet people that stay more long term at the hostel that were able to show me around Capetown, as well as backpackers and brief guests which were always interesting people and a great time. Job requirements included hiking trails, biking, doing wine tours, etc. so they were all really fun jobs and great opportunities to explore more of Capetown. I would come back and volunteer here any time.

One of the best volunteering I had! I had a spectacular experience here. I wish I could have stayed longer. The work wasn't hard (but you should be comfortable with hiking activities and know how to cycle). The schedule was flexible, and I had plenty of time to do my own things in the city. I met great people who changed my life. The hostel welcomed me warmly. It's located in the hostel, close to supermarkets, a shopping mall, and restaurants. It's a safe area. I highly recommend the hostel.

As a content creator, I really enjoyed all the work I had to do, and not only did I connect with the place and people, but I also added valuable work to my professional portfolio! My volunteer experience at the hostel Greenpoint was incredible! The hostel offers excellent infrastructure, and the volunteer room is very comfortable. The activities were engaging, and I had the chance to meet people from all over the world, which helped me practice and improve my English. The staff, along with the manager Phil, were incredibly kind and supportive. I made so many friends and had an unforgettable time in Cape Town. I'm truly grateful for this experience. Thank you for everything! I already miss you all and can't wait to return. <3

I was expecting to have a good time. But I ended up having an amazing time !!!! The hostel team was really helpful and welcoming. Especially my manager, Phil, who did everything to make us feel at home. The workers at the hostel were available to answer every question we had, to give us tips and deals about Cape Town and about South Africa in general. It's not about the place, it's about the people. I'm glad, because I met incredible people. They were more than colleagues and guests, they were friends. Thank you very much the hostel, the hostel and Kloof Street. I already miss you all :)

My time at the hostel GP was awesome! The tours were fun to lead, the staff was welcoming, and the guests/other volunteers were lots of fun. Special shoutout to Phil for his kindness and flexibility. Cape Town is also a great place to live, there is so much to see and do. I really enjoyed my 6 weeks there and I can't wait to go back!

It had an amazing experience as a volonteer at Never at home the hostel 🤩 The staff and Phil the manager were very nice, friendly and always there for me. I really enjoyed my « job », doing activities with the guests (hiking, cycle..). The hostel is very nice, good localisation and it's very easy to meet people. You can met people from all over the world and locals as well. Many thanks again ! I miss it already 🥺 I'll be back again!

I LOVEDD my experience at the hostel. I loved the hostel crew, my manager Phil and my other volunteer friends there. I loved the work as well, the hikes and bike tours and trips around the town. Everything and everyone was so much fun 🥹🥰. I felt very welcomed and supported. Thank you for an amazing experience. Looking forward to be back!!
