It was an amazing experience! I met people that I'll never forget, during the volunteer, I feel we became a family, so it was great to have the opportunity to build a connection with everyone. I already miss the staff house. Although sometimes the work can be hard, Kylie really respects the working hours and she's also a very understandable person. At first, it is kinda of confusing but I promise it gets much better when you memorize the system. I hope you have the best time same as I did :)

The job isn't difficult but at the beginning, as always, is something that you have to get used to it to make it better and faster later on. The hours are respected and the schedule is flexible. The staff house is confortable, but you gotta know that you first stay in the hostel with guests until a bed is available in the house, or you can be lucky and get there with an empty bed right away. You get unlimited rice and noodles, something that I really took advantage of and it was super helpful for me. The volunteers were amazing and super interesting people that I had a good time with.

I really liked the experience, the job is not difficult, you can choose your schedule and volunteers has an apartment to stay, which make it easy to have some privacy with unlimited rice and noodles. I really enjoyed with Kylie, sometimes she invited us to get bbq for free, ice cream and we even went to a water park which was a different experience. The location is perfect, Hongdae is a really nice neighborhood, full of nightlife and easy to discover around. I really recommend it if you want to experience some time in South Korea.

The experience couldn't be better, I strongly recommend this experience. Kylie is one of the most kind and gentle hosts I ever met, always making all she could to make volunteers welcome and taking care of. She did a lot of dinners and even took us to Korean barbecue. The accommodation provided is really comfortable, it's a whole house for staff so there's space to chill, cook calmly and work with computer. The work can be hard some days, but it don't go after your agreed hour, and it's really worth it when you look to all benefits and the amazing location. I will definitely come back again.

Amazing experience I had in Hongdae! The work is really simple and you have time to do everything, also the schedule is really flexible. In resume you work cleaning the hostel, there's a few apartments around the area so you must to go there and clean, usually it takes around 4h which is your time of work. You gonna live in an apartment and is amazing cuz you have your own place with the other volunteers with everything you need! Thanks Kylie for the opportunity and I hope to come back again definitely!

The main benefit is the free time - 4 shifts a week can even become just two days of double shifts. However, besides that, the work culture is very unpleasant. Communication is poor and unkind, the tasks aren't always reasonable within the timeframe, and especially as a newcomer, the workload can be very stressful, which causes some to leave early. Personally felt that despite performing tasks well I was treated poorly, from passive aggressive comments to uneven task delegation between volunteers. Most volunteers were kind, but the toxic ones made me realize vetting process wasn't effective.

The people I met during my experience truly made the journey unforgettable, grateful to now have friends from various countries. Everyone was incredibly friendly, open-minded, and supportive. We shared stories, laughter, and created memories that I'll cherish forever. Being surrounded by such positive and inspiring individuals made every day a joy and a reminder of the power of connection. Work was also as expected, completely doable and will definitely become a routine after a few shifts. Not to be scared, the location was also great, walking distance to subway and hongdae the hostel.

Kylie and her husband were really welcoming. We had occasional dinners when other volunteers left or a nice picknick in the park! There are 3 shifts to work, each 4 hours. Especially on the morning shift it was often a bit exhausting and the 4 hours of work were needed to complete all the tasks. Be aware it is not only 1 guesthouses, but 3 and some other apartments. All of them are about 5 to 10 minutes by walk. Besides that I was really lucky with the other volunteers. We lived good together in the apartment that Kylie provides. There was always free rice and ramen provided by Kylie as well.

If you got any questions just text me♡ You will be working in 3 different buildings + solo apartments. The apartments are within 10 minutes walking distance. -You will get a cleaning manual. Everything work related is described in that document. -Bring work clothes! You will be working with bleach and it will stain your socks + pants. -You mostly will need the full 4 hours to finish everything. - The location in Hongdae is great! -Eight people stay in the staff dorm together. If there are more volunteers → they stay in the hostel. -You also do the laundry + help with check-in

Perfect located in Hongdae! Important to know: guesthouse consists of 3 main houses with different apartments. Everything's reachable in between 10 min. A shift takes 4h and you have to clean 2 apartments, do laundry and help with check in. And you'll need all the time. I recommend work clothes that can get dirty because you'll bleach the bathrooms! Weekly schedule was flexible. Communication worked via KakaoTalk. I lived in an apartment with other volunteers and it was nice. But it could happen that you live in one of the dorms with the guests because there's not enough space in staff house.
