This has been the perfect opportunity in order to visit Seoul. The location is in the heart of Hongdae with so many incredible things to do. and only a quick walk to the train line. The host, Kylie, is really welcoming and will make you feel at home here. There has always been a positive atmosphere here and all other volunteers have made it feel like a family home. The work shifts are fair and because it is only four hours a day I have found that there is so much free time to explore the city. I highly recommend volunteering here and is a must in terms of being able to see Seoul.

I recommend this to anyone visiting Seoul. Centered in hongdae, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Work is 4d/week 4h/day, you choose your schedule amongst other volunteers. Come weather prepared, youre expected to work rain, sun, or snow. A lot of back and fourth between the work houses, I got sick and still had to work nauseous. Rice and Ramen provided, along w/ other activities & meals Kylie provides. Your accommodation is away from guest, in staff house holds up to eight staff.

This was a perfect way to spend my trip and save money on accommodation! it was a pleasure to meet so many fun people and have them as room mates. kylie and her husband are really accommodating to all of the volunteers, they're always buying us food and checking in on how we're doing. kylie makes sure you never work past your agreed hours and even offers some extra shifts for extra rewards if you like. the work gets easier as you get used to it, and the location (5m from hongik university station and 2m from the yeonnam forest line) really is unbeatable :)

Kylie was a good gost, really good housing and really good working hours Free food everytime and she buy goodbye food as well when someone is leaving She takes us to some activity with her family sometimes so that is really good I would 100% recommend her Sometimes the volunteers can be disrepectful and make you leave but that was not the host fault, so I would recommend you go there, and the area is awesome, lots of cvs close by, clubs, shops etc, really good experience with her and in this area Best of luck for everything Kylie ❤ and thank you again, 고마워요

Hi! My name is Oli and I spent 2 months volunteering at Kylie's Hostel. I truly enjoyed my time here so much. I got the opportunity to get to know many wonderful people. The apartment in Yeonnam is well located. There is cute cafes and food places close by, and Hongdae main the hostel is about a 15-minute walk away. I loved my daily walks in the area! At times I felt that the host was a bit disorganized and didn't support us as we would've needed, but the hostels are well maintained and the workload as well as shift hours are reasonable and respected. I'll remember my time here fondly:)

Working at the hostel Guesthouse was our first Worldpackers experience, and overall a very positive one. :) Kylie was very kind, flexible and understanding, and tried to respect our working hours. Communication about work distribution was not great and she was often disorganised and forgetful. Work was a little overwhelming at first, but fast to figure out. Although easy, often there was a lot to do. Location is great. Staff house is small but cozy. People we met were the best part of the experience and we were like family. <3 Text us if you want to know more about our experience!

Kylie & family were excellent hosts. The role is straightforward and you stick to the same schedule with minimal changes. Helping in their home was a great experience. Their child is very bright & joyful, an absolute delight. Regarding this particular role, it was a first for both the hosts and myself and I am thankful we could make the most of it together. The proximity to their home is very convenient and the location of the stay is amazing for anyone in South Korea for the first time. In my case, most of the assistance took place during late evening hours, ask & please plan accordingly.
