The experience

Join us in the beautiful oasis of Ktawa in the Zagora region! We are seeking passionate volunteers who can help us both physically and financially to dig a well and bring water back to our family garden of palm trees and the abandoned village. Your efforts will help revive the land and bring life back to our community.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Additional fee required

Amount: € 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Due to the unproductive project we have to charge volunteers to help financially


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Program Details

Assist in the physical labor of digging the well.
Contribute financially towards the well-digging project.
Help with planting and caring for palm trees and other plants.
Participate in community activities to help restore and maintain the oasis.
Engage with local villagers and learn about our traditional ways of life.


Activities & Shift

Morning Shift (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM):

Begin the day with a communal breakfast.
Engage in well-digging activities or gardening tasks.
Take a short break mid-morning for refreshments.
Continue with morning activities until the shift ends at noon.
Afternoons & Evenings:

Free time to relax, explore the oasis, or interact with the community.
Participate in optional afternoon activities or cultural exchanges.
Enjoy a communal dinner with traditional Moroccan cuisine.
Participate in evening activities or cultural events, if any.
Days Off:

Two days off per week for rest and leisure.
Opportunity to explore the surrounding areas, relax, or engage in personal projects.
Note:

Shifts are flexible and may vary depending on the day's tasks and weather conditions.
Volunteers are encouraged to take breaks as needed and communicate any concerns to the project coordinator.
