The experience

We are looking for friendly volunteers that are social, outgoing and able to engage with our guest to make them feel welcome and at home here in our Hostel. The hostel has a social but relaxed atmosphere attracting people from all around the world. We enjoy creating a space for our guest to come together and share experiences here in Istanbul.

We can offer free accommodation and subsidized payment for our volunteers during your stay.

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift

- Greeting Guests and checking them in
- Dealing with payments and administration.
- Managing and maintaining the reception during your shift
- Helping guest with any queries they have about their stay
- Supporting other hostel staff when needed

Rules

Polite and respectful at all times to guests and other staff.
Punctuality in important
No alcohol on shift
No sleeping on shift
No outside guests in the dorm rooms
