The experience was not what I expected. The work was OK, just prepare for it to be dirty/dusty and it was really not that fulfilling. What bothered me most of all was the living space. The pictures used were not at all the space we stayed in. Nothing really felt clean or hygienic, including the kitchen area - another volunteer mentioned having stomach problems/potential food poisoning. The sleeping and eating areas constantly had a ton of flies, and that's just not something I'm comfortable with. I really liked it at Mary's house! She is so sweet and kind! I loved all her animals and was able to spend time by nature while working with her! Mary always made sure we were well fed -- always making sure to cook us food that we liked! The work can feel overwhelming because there is so much stuff to do. Her house is also a bit messy, but that's why we're there to help! The location is absolutely beautiful and I had a lot of fun going to different villages near her place! I'll miss Chanel, Shorty, Beauty, Salma, and the other volunteers! I'll miss you and Salma, Mary!

Mary is a sweet, warm, funny, attentive and open minded person. Some tasks were very dusty, but at the end the home day its always nice to see the results. I often cleaned stuff or reorganized. Mary respects and appreciates your working hours. I already miss Shorty, Chanel and Beauty (the dogs and cats). It's nice to explore the villages nearby. The nature there is beautiful. Mary cooks nice food and always makes sure you eat enough. I would recommend to bring old clothes, your own gloves and bring an anti mosquito spray. I absolutely loved it here. Jackie is the sweetest woman wich you've probably read by now from the other revieuws, but it's really true! The dogs are lovely and I met other amazing volenteers too. Everyone makes you feel very included. The only thing is that the space is sometimes a bit unhygienic, since we slept and ate in the same space and there is alot of stuff. Still 100 percent reccomend though🫶🏼 🫶🏼

Mary is a truly appreciable person. Kind, caring, honest and joyful. The laughs and the chats we had together cheered me up a lot. The one pictured in the announcement is the b&b owned by Mary, not the actual location where you will be accommodated, this is important to keep in mind to have not wrong expectations. The company of animals is not lacking, nor is nature. I experienced many emotions in the short time I stayed at Mary's before I had to leave for personal reasons. Mary, you're strong, intelligent and sharp and you deserve many good things. Ciao Bella!!!

This was my first volunteer and I can say that the home & the home house was the best choice I could have taken. Mary is the most kind and lovely person I have ever met, she really makes me feel like I was in my own home. The task were easy to do, a bit dusty but easy. Thank you so much Mary for letting me be part of your project I really hope to come back soon! Give some kisses from me to Salma, Pepi, Pumpkin, Max and Shorty, I already miss you all guys!

Pueblecito tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza, posibilidad de hacer rutas en el Parque Nacional. Jackie la anfitriona me recibió con alegría y me despidió con agradecimiento. Buena experiencia con los compañeros. Trabajo de albañilería, pintura y desplazamiento de objetos. Ambiente desordenado y lleno de cosas porque se supone que la casa está en proceso de ordenación y arreglo. En mi casa disfruté de una habitación para mí solo, sencilla pero suficiente para mis exigencias.

Fue mi primer voluntariado al que llegué y de verdad que me recibieon con mucho cariño desde el primer momento en que llegue. Jakie es una persona extraordinaria, nos daba consejos de vida, anedotas, de todo. De verdad que fue muy grao convivr con ella, con Salma, Ajmal; ademas de las perritas Chanel y Shorty. Me tocó la suerte de convivir con otros voluntariados y tambén fue impresionante conocer cada cultra y todos compartiendo sobre todos. Simplemente magico...

Una experiencia bastante linda, Jackie es una persona vibrante que cambia la energía de cualquier lugar (positivamente). Las tareas fueron pesadas en su mayoría pero nada fuera de lo descrito en la portada. El lugar es lindo y pacífico pero sí es lejos de Montpellier. La cascada y el río están igualmente un poco alejados de la casa pero vale la pena visitarlos. Por la temporada el pasto está bastante seco :( pero está repleto de uvas deliciosas. La comida es abundante pero demasiado pan. (Hay un súper cerca por si quieres comprar tus propios productos). En verano hace MUCHO CALOR! 😋
