My volunteering experience wasn't exactly what I expected, and I didn't fully connect with the opportunity. However, I had open and honest conversations with Ken, which ensured a smooth departure without misunderstandings. I believe communication, clarity regarding expected tasks, and the inclusion of new volunteers could be improved. On the other hand, Ken has a strong sense of social responsibility, and Lisa was incredible with me at all times—always supportive and welcoming.

I had a great time at Infinity Hostel. The volunteer hours are reasonable and flexible. The hostel is new and therefore the amenities are new and works well. I got a discount on the Ha Giang Loop, the Easyriders are excellent and being on the loop is definitely the highlight of this experience. While managing their social media, I was able to gather 15.9k views thus far, with 47% followers and 53% non followers (new reach). I helped in reception in the morning while guests are prepping to go on the loop, serve coffee, tea, water, towel etc (2-3hrs)/day. Gather photos/videos and post them.

I had and still have an amazing experience with ken! His family has made me feel at home in Ha the school. The students are incredibly kind and funny. Daily life included teaching my students, having family lunch and dinner and helping out in the hostel. On several occasions the students took me out on the motorbike and we explored ha the school region. The entire experience was so wonderful that i decided to stay in ha the school for another month and spend more time with my students and kens amazing family!

Amazing volunteering experience. Ken and Thuy are truly good beautiful people. What they do for the school, how much they care is just so inspiring. Ken's need to support the whole spectrum of ethnic minorities made my heart melt. The lessons were awesome, students are very motivated, if you make them feel comfortable you will gain awesome friends. Ken's tiny baby son is the cutest and his teenage daughter is amazing. The conditions in the hostel are just incredible, I would call it a hotel for sure. Meals were local, great. Highly recommend this beautiful the school!🩷

Volunteering in Ha the school for a week was AMAZING! Ken, the lead behind all of this was so cooperative and flexible. I taught english to locals who are aspiring tour guides + drivers, looking to improve their English and meet their goals. I got to interact with the local students, learn about the culture, and even embarked on a 3 day tour of the Ha the school Loop which was eye opening! Highly recommend this opportunity for anyone who's looking to step out their comfort zone!

My experience with Ken and his family was really good. I felt very welcome and I experienced a lot of flexibility regarding the tasks. If you want you can get to know the travel agency and how it works. Its also nice to help with dishes if you can, as there is always a lot to do. I appreciate that I just had one or two students at once. So it was more easy to manage the teaching. We always had delicious traditional meals together and I learned a lot about the Vietnamese way of life. I recommend fully to volunteer at Infinity Ha the school Loop! I am really thankful for my experience 🙏🏼

There are no enough words to say how incredible and fulfilling has been this experience. I volunteered here for 3 weeks. I taught 2 students of 18 and 20 years old. They will be easy riders in the future and learning english it means having a real chance to have a good work. Ken the host is amazing, his family and he made me feel at home and the work he does for the local people is stunning! I have basically lived with ken family and the students every day, sharing funny moments and teaching lessons twice a day. I left the homestay full of love and hope for my students! See you soon Ken!

Unfortunately I had a super negative experience as part of this project! I hate to leave negative reviews but this is not what is advertised at all. I feel as if Ken takes advantage of volunteers. The world load is immense and although I felt as if I went above and beyond, nothing was appreciated. It is an expectation to do so much more than is advertised. I also got quite a few remarks from Ken about my age implying that I was young and therefore, didn't know anything (mind you, I am almost 25). It was quite a disheartening experience and by the end, they stopped feeding me which was awkward

I had a really great time here and would even love to return someday. I enjoyed interacting with the students and the hosts tried to make me feel like part of the family while I was there. I would just be aware that you may be asked to da few additional responsibilities, like cleaning up after dinner or teaching a little past the scheduled time- if this isn't okay with you just be should to set your boundaries. Also, I will say 2 hours is a long class to have for one on one with a student, especially a beginner, so make sure to prepare something ahead of time to avoid awkward silences.
