I had an amazing stay at Tierra Fresca. Surrounded by cool people, good vibes and great stories. If you want to immerse yourself with nature and do creative projects, this is a nice place to stay. Hats off to Davis, Luis, Angela and everyone involved for putting in a lot of work to make the project work. Viva the farm and Tierra Fresca

What a legend! This man fixed 4 different engines, the plumbing in the kitchen sink, cement pouring for the pool, and so much more!!

We HIGHLY recommend Thomas if you want a good-hearted honest and hard working young man to add value to your project!

I had an incredible time at the farm and would highly recommend to anyone that would like to get in touch with nature and educate themselves on the resources that the farm has to offer. For me personally it was lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of travelling and have time to reflect in a beautiful environment. I learnt a lot from Davis and the team who are extremely passionate about the project. I wish the project the best and hope to visit in the future.

I highly recommend the farm! It's an amazing place to learn, connect with people and locals who are genuinely welcoming, and experience Guatemala from a truly authentic perspective. Davis and Luis are wonderful hosts who will make you feel right at home, and the finca itself is like a hidden green paradise, surrounded by stunning nature and delicious food. 🙌🏼 Just a small tip: make sure to pack long sleeves to protect yourself from the bugs! 😊

I've had the most wonderful time here at the farm! It's been a joy to learn about the project and witness how passionate everyone here is about it. I've been able to meet both locals and other travelers, to explore the jungle, to try tons of fresh fruits from the land, to learn new perspectives on the world, and just have a good time. 7/5 stars :)

Me and my partner truly enjoyed our stay at the farm/Tierra Fresca. We felt extremely welcome from the very beginning and spent some real quality time with the project team. It is noticable that everyone is super passionate about the project and the overall energy is very positive and inspiring. The farm itself and surrounding nature are incredibly beautiful and you can harvest fresh fruit from the land, do hikes into the jungle and swim in closeby waterfalls. The downside is that the next town is not that close and that the bugs can be quite annoying, so come prepared (citronella oil ;)

I spent two weeks at the Finca surrounded by the most beautiful nature and eating from the garden. Davis, Luis, and Angela were all wonderful, welcoming, and very interesting hosts. However as they are in the middle of paperwork to develop an eco community at the Finca, there wasn't a lot to do or much instruction on what tasks could be. I felt very free to use my time as I wished but I was limited to what I could do by what I already knew how to do, and I was hoping to learn more about the plants and sustainable agriculture. Nonetheless a beautiful place but beware of the bugs

Yes, we're still in the development stages right now, as we discussed before you arrived, and quite flexible on our tasks especially when there's a small group like when you were here!

Within the next year, we will have more resources and hands-on support on daily tasks, educational events and workshops to teach more for people looking to learn new skills and knowledge!

Davis and Luis are such sweet persons and make you feel at home. During my stay there was not a lot to do, but I can imagine that once they start renovating that there is much more to do and it is really interesting to help and learn more about the land. Thank you!

I had a great time at the farm with Davis and Luis, the two guys running the project! Both very inspiring people, and I hope their project will succeed! The place is one of a kind, quite rustic and remote but this is what connects it right to the surrounding nature and what makes this place so unique and amazing! We got to choose what work to do, and meet some super cool locals that we got to explore the amazing nature and the town of Chicacao with. For me it was an unforgettable experience that showed me the beautiful nature of Guatemala and made me make some amazing new friends!

My experience in the farm was one of kind., inspirational and eye opening in many ways. The area in the middle of jungle is just breathtaking. Facilities and housing are very basic and rustic but that's nothing that would bother me personally but definitely something you should keep in mind. Project is at the start so sometimes it was hard to navigate what is there to do for us as volunteers. Both Davis and Luis, the leaders of the project, are very inspiring people I admire every conversation we had despite some disagreements. You have to see it to understand!

Very good experience overall. The description is very accurate. There is a lot to do, so there is a wide range of opportunities for volunteers to learn new skills and improve on existing ones. Everyone is very kind and welcoming, I felt right at home after only a few days! Anyone willing to keep an open mind and fully embrace the experience is guaranteed to enjoy themselves.
