The experience

School run with kids on bikes, 1km away. Preparing breakfast for kids and make a basic family evening meal. Helping with school pick up on bike. Keeping kitchen clean and tidy and basic house work, with family linen help.

Ad hoc house help as above within the 25 hours.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate French

Between 18 and 50 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Academy Course How to become an outstanding Worldpacker

European Union Passport

United States visa or citizenship

Travel insurance

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Five hours a day. Roughly 2 hours morning 7-9am and 3-6pm daily.
Free time during the day.
Basic cleaning and tidying of kids rooms.
Helping with laundry, hang and put away.
Dishwasher and washing machine help.
Maintain tidy standards within own volunteer room.

Activities & Shift

Helping with meals, getting kids to and from school, taking kids to evening sports activities which are all local and within walking distance.
Prepare school and activity bags.
Help kids with homework.

Rules

No smoking.
General good manners.
Security and safety around the family and house. Ie keep door and garage locked
No phones at the dining table.
No disciplining the kids, we do that.
No criminal records.
