What a wholesome experience! This is such a kind, generous, and welcoming family. You will immediately be integrated into the community as if you've always belonged there. I highly recommend if you want to immerse yourself with the locals and like to partake in various fun activities with families in a lovely little authentic city. It is so much fun, very rewarding, and quite flexible. I wish I had more time to stay longer! I'm very grateful for my wonderful experience here :)

We had a great two weeks here. We helped with kindergarten classes, we taught 1 on 1, we had speaking lessons at the cafe and also were welcomed in by the whole community. We took part in activities, taken out for dinner and spent a lot of time with the kids. We were busy but by choice, we wanted to throw ourselves into the community and work as much as we could with these guys, if you feel like there is too much, you can always reduce your work load no problem. Lots of life lessons, lots of fun and would definitely go back.

Our experience with Hoa, Hang, Rooney and the home was great! We were here for 2 weeks and we enjoyed everyday. You are invited into the local community with open arms, helping out children from lots of different families to learn English. We were invited to Hikes, beach days, meals out and shown some new sports (Roller skating and pickleball). Just a heads up, we were happy to be very busy but there are lots of people who would like your help so your schedule can get pretty busy, but speak to Hoa and he's happy to arrange stuff around for you also the bed is just a roll out mattress:)

This was my first trip through WorldPackers and it was everything I hoped for. The city is very non touristy and the locals are lovely. Mr. Hoa has created a community that welcomes you with arms open. Hanging out with the kids at the cafe was so fun and the kids are wanting to learn which makes it very special.

The host (Hoa), his wife (Hang(, and their 2 children (Rooney and the home) are a very warm and welcoming family. Quy Nhon by itself is a nice beach city. Hoa's house is walkable distance to the beach and is also in the heart of the city. The volunteer gets a very decent private room with a full ensuite bathroom. This volunteering opportunity stems out of Hoa's desire to provide language and cultural exchange opportunities to his children and other folks in his social circle. I highly recommend this opportunity to all prospective volunteers.

Me and my friend Jenny stayed with the family for 6 days. We had a truly wonderful experience. All the families are very welcoming and invited us for breakfasts or dinners. They taught us so much about their culture, took us out to try the local Vietnamese street food, showed us beautiful places such as a secret waterfall or took us on hikes. We felt so welcomed right from the start and while our purpose was to teach them, we feel like we've learnt more from this beautiful family and community than we could have ever hoped to give!

This is a great experience! One which offers so many cultural exchanges with the chance to take part in more than just teaching English. We would m highly recommend this experience to others. The family and friends are all so welcoming and the children are eager to learn.

What a wonderful experience! Thank you so much for having us and allowing us to meet many people and experience so much. This has been the best experience of our trip so far. Hoa and his family are welcoming and the children in the community are brilliant. It's been a pleasure to speak English to the children and spend time with them. Our time here exceeded our expectations and allowed us to take part in many activities such as pickleball, roller skating, camping, fishing, swimming, pottery, crocheting, cooking and more. We will always remember our time in Quy Nhon fondly, thank you!

I had a wonderful time there. Even though I was sick the first few days the family took really good care of me. The sweet niece Truc shows you around town and also the best food spots. Besides that the family also took my to their big family dinner which was super interesting and the English club you participate in is also a lot fun. It's not like hard work, overall this experience was just the perfect way to interact with locals, learn about their culture and also being able to show a little bit of your culture. The hospitality I experienced with the host family was the best I have ever had.

My time with Hoa and his beautiful family was quite short, only just over a week, however it was such a unique and beautiful experience. Despite me visiting during a very busy time, the family, and countless other families, made time to show me around the city, and teach me about the culture. You will have lots of free time to explore, and so many opportunities to meet local children and families. The Homestay is very comfortable, with your own bathroom and bedroom. I will miss Quy Nhon and the family very much!
