I spent a month volunteering in Faro at three the hostel and had a great experience overall. The daily work was rewarding, and I met many wonderful people. While the organization management could use some improvement at times, the positive aspects far outweighed any minor issues. Future volunteers should note that it's not a party hostel and is pretty calm most of the time, but there are great places to party in the town. Also have in mind, that Faro is pretty small and NOT next to the beach (you need to take a ferry). I'd definitely recommend this experience to others.

The hostel was very cute. The experience was nice, all the volunteers were super nice and you end up with a lot of friends. The hosts were nice, but the management was lame at times. The work in the hostel was not hard at all, and you have a lot of free time, and the hostel has a discount on places, which helps with the social life.

The truth was good. I met people who took me and also who taught me English. As soon as I arrived, the "boss" of the hostel didn't give me a warm welcome, I didn't meet her until one day she appeared without telling me to do some things. The truth is that I missed that. My classmates showed me the hostel, the chores and so on. They were also generous with the discounts they gave us at night and the plans they made. It's too many hours of homework for the little we had to do. That's why I wanted to leave earlier but I couldn't until the 6 o'clock shift was over. But it was nice.

Questa è stata la mia prima esperienza di volontariato con Worldpackers. Mi porterò per sempre questa esperienza nel mio cuore: i posti che ho scoperto e che sono diventati casa, le persone che ho conosciuto con il quale ho stretto forti legami, tutte le emozioni che ho provato... Sono grata di tutte le persone che ho incontrato. Il lavoro è stato semplice e non pesante, ho avuto tempo per scoprire Faro sia di giorno che la sera, godermi il tempo in spiaggia, fare lezioni di surf con un prezzo bassissimo, scoprire altri posti vicini con paesaggi naturali mozzafiato.

Tuve una hermosa experiencia de voluntariado en el hostel. El lugar es muy lindo y cómodo, con un ambiente acogedor. Los turnos de trabajo fueron tranquilos y los supervisores muy amables. Un agradecimiento especial a Mafalda por su calidez y apoyo. La ciudad es hermosa y fácil de recorrer, con estación de tren, micro y aeropuerto que permiten para moverse a otros destinos y un ferry que te lleva a una hermosa playa. Sin duda, repetiría esta experiencia y la recomiendo totalmente. Me llevo muchos recuerdos hermosos y los guardo en mi corazón. ¡Gracias por todo! 💛

El hostel fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y me voy en gratitud con el equipo de trabajo, las personas que conocí y la estadía. Mourão, el "boss" jaja siempre fue muy amable, justo y abierto a escuchar Cainna, nuestro dialogo fue de menos a más, es especial jaja es un buen chico :) Mafalda fue lo mejor de esta experiencia, no solo en el hostel, también pude compartir tiempo con ella fuera.. Hizo de mi llegada un espacio cálido y entretenido <3 Definitivamente, sé que cualquier voluntario/voluntaria que venga será feliz de pasar por el hostel. Gracias por tanto, mucho éxito !

No inicio estava perdida, quando chegou o André, comecei a treinar meu Italiano e tudo mudou, depois veio a Asia, Nici e Nyah, formei uma grande familia para sempre. O trabalho é tranquilo, o espaço é grande, o turno da manhã é o mais preenchido de tarefas, depois apenas check out e check in, manter os banheiros limpos e cuidar da lavanderia, você pode explorar a cidade, praia e bares com muita tranquilidade após seu horário de serviço! Foi o meu primeiro de muitos, sei que não acharei nada igual no futuro, obrigada o hostel, agosto foi incrivel <3
