Staying at the guest house in Kyoto was an amazing experience! The work is clear and often only 2 days a week so you get lots of time to explore. the guest house is right next to a metro, so it's super easy to get around and bikes to ride. There's also a park next to the guest house, which regularly has events and flea markets- super cute! You can also easily go to Osaka for a night out if you want more of a party atmosphere. The owners only come to the guest house 2 or three times a week, so it's a very independent environment. Chie, the owner, is super sweet and considerate as well!

A deeply enriching experience in this beautiful traditional Japanese house, perfectly located in Kyoto. Joyful moments teaching yoga, helping with daily tasks, and joining local events like the sake night. Smooth communication with Chie, a remarkable and kind host. Communication with her and the rest of the team was always smooth, clear, and trusting. Independent work, inspiring international encounters, and a spirit of karma yoga. With all my gratitude.

I had a wonderful experience here. The other volunteers were nice but the hosts were even more friendly and welcoming and helpful… I would definitely recommend experiencing Kyoto here.

Chie and Roy were very kind and welcoming. The house was also spotless and comfortable. Sometimes the communication between Roy and Chie—or within the group in general—wasn't perfectly coordinated, but that's understandable and not just on them. Overall, it was a really cozy and pleasant stay.

I loved working at the guest house! Chie and Roy are incredible people who made me feel truly at home. They were always so caring, helping me with everything I needed. The guesthouse is a beautiful, and a great place to meet people from all over the world. The working hours were very fair, giving me plenty of time to explore Kyoto. I had fun with the team, cooking together and going on day trips. Chie and Roy also took us to lunch sometime, which was wonderful to talk about Japan's culture. It was the perfect first volunteering experience, and I will definitely come back. Arigato Gozaimasu <3

La experiencia fue preciosa. ✨ Chie es súper dulce, muy dedicada al proyecto, y buena persona. El trabajo está muy bien distribuído, al igual que las tareas y los turnos, esto permite poder salir a conocer la ciudad y alrededores, terminás teniendo mucho tiempo libre para aprovechar. El hostel es una casa tradicional japonesa muy bonita, que hace súper agradable la estadía. Cómo beneficios aparte, tenés bicis para uso del Staff y podes sumarte a las clases de Yoga que dan a veces en el hostel. Atesoraré mucho este mes en Kyoto. Recomiendo completamente 🖤🫶🏼
