My experience at the shelter was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and kind. It is a very rewarding experience and the work is enjoyable. You get to spend lots of time with the dogs and give them lots of love. Wish we could have stayed longer. They are doing such amazing work with the dogs in Sri Lanka and it was great to be apart of it all.

I miss the dogs and cats every second. If you love animals and don't mind getting dirty it's the Right Place for you definitely. You will meet amazing nice people and volunteers from all over the world. You will feel welcome by everyone there and unconditionally loved by the animals. Your work matters and you can see how your ideas for improvement will turn into changes as everyone there just wants the best for the animals. The beach is also nearby so you can relax in the afternoon if you need a break from all the barking🤭 Tipp: Definitely bring a mosquito net and be prepared to sweat.

We loved the experience at the shelter!! Hector and all the workers and other volunteers was amazing and we got really close to all the amazing animals❤️ I would a 100% recommend this place to anyone who wanna make a difference and likes dogs and cats! Thank you so much for having us🙏🏻❤️

I loved my time here at the shelter I will return soon because I already miss it. All the dogs were surprisingly friendly I love them all so much and most are free so they have a great social life here. They get fed so well and treated amazing! As well as the dogs, during my two weeks I went on a dog boat rescue mission, Krishanthi took us to a Christmas party, a New Year's party, we had a staff party, and on our days off we went to Adam's peak -Far more than I could've hoped for. The best start to Sri Lanka I could've hoped for got to experience so much in short time. Will continue to raise

The team wasn't coordinated. They had no intention of teaching. Of course, I understand that caring for around 400 dogs is difficult, but the volunteers who come should receive brief training. Besides that, spending time with the dogs and with other travelers who came was wonderful; it was a wonderful experience. Even just spending time with the dogs alone would be a great fit.

I had a good time at the project. Although the team was a bit uncoordinated and the facilities were not good (dirty kitchen, shower), playing with the puppies was amazing and you have lots of free time.

The host and the workers there are really nice and help you when you have any questions with the work. The tasks are easy and you can't do something wrong. All day long you can cuddle the dogs and play with them. It's a nice atmosphere there and the living space is also very great.

Hector and Krishanthi are both incredible, kind people. Doing amazing work with the street dogs of Sri Lanka both in the shelter and in Colombo. It was an eye opening experience and I learnt so much. Keep doing an amazing job.
